The food is delicious. Sashimi is very fresh. The collagen steam boat is very special. Three type of food experiences cooked by the waitress. Actually the restaurant name is change to Yon Pachi not Zen.

Great food and ambience! Recommend this for people who want to experience quality shabu shabu buffet. Price is very reasonable for quality of food served.

Z'en has always provided consistent food and services, and our latest visit was no exception. Our special (and last minute) request for an indoor table was acceded to with no questions asked. All in all, our party had a wonderful time at Z'en, as always.

Best Japanese ala carte buffet ever :) 10/10 will recommend! Damage about $50+ per pax for weekday buffet dinner :) love their Hokkaido queen crab shabu shabu!

Z'en has always been a favourite choice of restaurant for Japanese dining, especially when their Sirloin Steak and Shabu-Shabu is to die for. As we have never ordered their chicken or pork Shabu, we can't really comment on the meats. However, what I can say with certainty is that the quality of their beef has been consistent over the years, and it can frankly be quite addictive. Order a plate, or five, and you'll know why Z'en is our perennial favourite. A quartet of us can consume 20 plates of beef Shabu and countless portions of Sirloin Steak. The desserts are nothing to shout about, but a welcome addition nonetheless. Give their Tofu Cheese Cake a try. Their floor staff might be overwhelmed at times especially during weekends, so opt to sit indoors to ensure timely service. Outdoor seating may be quite warm during evenings despite the powerful ceiling fans. It only serves to prolong the boiling time of your Shabu pot.

We had the shabu-shabu buffet for dinner. Food is generally average with a couple of good items like the beef items. The rest are just standard buffet quality. Perhaps, should have tried the ala carte items instead but I'm concerned how much better it can be when the kitchen are busy handling all the other orders from customers having buffet. Service-wise is attentive as should be expected from restaurant. The manager (I guess) is great though.

My last visit to the resuarant was sometime in 2010. On my recent visit, the food is still good but the service was mediocre- level of service has dropped. The wait staff was attentive buy yet we kept receiveing food that we did not order and thise we did order somehow never came and we had to remind the wait staff. Will I go back again, yes, but don't be too fussy about the service.

I love this restaurant. Food never disappoints but do make reservations in advance otherwise you may end up sitting al fresco which is really way too warm for shabu shabu

It's my 3rd times and still everything were so fresh and delicious! Ace service too! Definitely will go back again but if they can add in swordfish sashimi then it will be perfect! :-9
