More about Yoda Japanese Dining, Singapore

At the heart of any great restaurant is a passionate chef who really knows their stuff, and at Yoda Japanese Dining, that’s Chef Fabio. With over 30 years experience on the Japanese fine dining scene, Chef Fabio’s mission is to make the fine Japanese flavours he loves available to the masses. The mission is going down in Bedok, as we say, and residents in the east of Singapore have been getting very excited about Yoda’s menu.

Speaking of which, from the Yoda Japanese Dining a la carte section you can expect some divine donburi, superb sushi sets and hot pots and noodles that will warm the heart. One of the things we love about Japanese food is its freshness and its colour, and the menu at this east Singapore restaurant is a great example of such attributes – the food is as beautiful to look at as it is to taste. Reserve a table ahead of your visit to avoid disappointment.

Very fresh and good quality. It is authentic Japanese restaurant in Singapore and has been located at east area which is close to my home. Love it!

The set lunch was a great value. Service staff were prompt and polite. This is a great place for a lunch time meeting and chat.

Yoda was a good dining experience. Value for money for our omakase. We pd $100/pax n we got 10 course of v gd quality food which included v..fresh sashimi..grill beef..seafood porridge w a generous dollop of uni and foie gras on scallops w a very tasty crabmeat soup. Chef Lee did a great job. We will definitely recommend Yoda. Only note is that at point of reservation with quandoo .we highlighted that we would be having omakase for our lunch. But there seems to be a lack of communication somewhere as chef dinno abt this. Luckily he was able to accomodate our request. Ow it wld hv been very disappointing as we were celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary that day. It wb good if quandoo can look into this on how best to let the restaurants know of special request from customers. Or is the special request form even working??

Overall quality of food here is above average, but at an affordable price. I thought the seafood porridge was unique and packed a variety of ingredients. Eel & sushi set was also good. My family also liked the maki rolls. I wasn't too impressed with the chicken karaage (overfried) and stingray fin (miserly portion). The service staff inforrmed us that the restaurant is converting to halal so they won't be offering sake or beer in future.

We had the salmon ikura don set and the sashimi and tempura don set, both good and generously portioned. We would definitely go back for the sets! Aburi salmon roll wasn't great for us, we thought the salmon slices were too thin and too 'overdone', which made it quite dry. We also love the location and the easy parking nearby.

Barachirashi set lunch tasted good, though slightly heavy in sauce. Was quite full from the set. Our table also had the unagi and some chicken, which I believe was pretty good as well. Food could be slightly cheaper tho. Paid s$82 for three with green teas.

We like the place as it is cosy and spartan. Menu selection is pretty expansive. We have sashimi, sushi rolls, Don and bento. Sashimi is fresh and the cuts are pretty thick. All in all, we left pretty satisfied with the meal

Excellent food and service. Best sushi in the east or you can go for their simple set meal. You would never find any other good and affordable sake like this place.
