One dish restaurant, one chicken’s fancy. This is the motto that greets visitors to the Yang Ming Yu Claypot Chicken restaurant along Tan Quee Lan Street in Bugis, and it is an invitation to enjoy Chinese claypot chicken like few other eateries can offer. Inside you’ll find the walls plastered with posters advertising this Singapore specialist’s delicious dishes, along with informative pictures of chicken processing factories – white, sterile environments where workers dressed in anti-contamination suits ensure that the poultry they prepare is as fresh and avian flu-free as possible. It’s comforting to know that this claypot chicken restaurant is going to great lengths to ensure the safety of their diners, and if you love Chinese claypot chicken cuisine – but are afraid of the possible consequences of unhygienic food practices – then Yang Ming Yu deserves your reservation.
Chicken pieces were more bone then meat. Small portions. Sauce was unremarkable . Ambience poor. Poor selection of drinks. Inexpensive but not a go back again place .
