Venezia is the Italian name for the city of Venice, and while The Wirral is also by the sea (and Tranmere Rovers are as useless as Venezia’s squadra calcio) there aren’t many obvious comparisons that can be drawn between Birkenhead and the north-east of Italy. Head to Venezia Restaurant on Prenton Road in Prenton – right by Prenton Park, incidentally – and you might, however, change your mind. They offer a taste of Venice that is not to be missed, with a menu that is filled with Italian favourites that the whole family can enjoy, with a huge range of pizzas, pastas and mains. We’d recommend the veal alla Venezia, escalopes breaded and topped with cheese, parma ham and bolognese sauce, or for the truly ravenous, the leg of lamb al forno, roasted in orange and honey. Book your table now and head to Venezia for a taste of the bel paese in Birkenhead.
Amazing food all served piping hot! You can definitely tell all the food was freshly made and the homemade desserts are fabulous especially the pistachio cheesecake! The service was wonderful too and we never felt like we were a burden by asking for more drinks or extra cutlery. Wonderful staff and atmosphere definitely a favourite place of mine to go to!
Wonderful meals, plenty of choices. Very friendly and helpful staff. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone., who are looking for good service and hot tasty food .
Excellent food, staff were lovely. Easy to book a table for the same day. Plus we got NHS discount! Would definately go again for a meal!
We had a lovely time celebrating my brothers birthday, the food and service was excellent. Would recommend to anyone and would book a table there again.
We visit Villa Venezia with friends on a very regular basis because the staff are all fantastic, the menu has plenty of good choices and the food is always delicious. We would not hesitate to recommend the Villa Venezia
Villa Venezia serves excellent food and deserts. The staff are very friendly and speak Spanish and Portuguese! I had a beautiful red rose after my meal so...next year remember to go to Villa Venezia for your Valentine's.
Excellent , always a good evening at Venezia ,good food, excellent service and family friendly. Always worth the 1 hr round trip from Chester to dine at Villa Venezia and on line booking makes booking a table easy and quick.
Dined here for my husband's Birthday and as usual it was an excellent night. The staff welcomed us warmly and were friendly and attentive. The food was exceptional, I had garlic mushrooms in white wine sauce and my favourite King Prawn Linguine and both were excellent, piping hot and fresh. All our party enjoyed their meals, we had a lovely night and we definitely will be back
A party of 8 of us went yesterday for the Christmas lunch menu. What a beautiful meal we received. All the food was piping hot , with fresh vegetables and lots to eat. Starters were all lovely, and what generous portions of deserts we all received. Every course was delicious. Would recommend this resturant to anyone. Also thanks to all the brilliant friendly staff ,
Slightly frosty reception from one waiter on entering as it was extremely busy (luckily we had a booking) . Waiters were run off feet taking and delivering orders so didn't get to order more drinks and skipped dessert as felt rushed. Have had better calamari and bigger portion for the price but overall enjoyed the pizza and lamb cutlets were amazing. Will definitely return to try something else on the menu.
