The Viceroy of India is one of the most popular Indian restaurants in the centre of Ystrad Mynach because the food is delicious. There, that was easy, wasn’t it? On Penallta Road you will find a dining space that is simple and charming, manned by a team that are genuinely passionate about the food they’re serving. This, we’re sure you’ll agree, makes a surprising difference to your whole dining experience and it’s this that has kept regulars returning for years. You can expect all the well-loved curry house classics, as well as chef’s specialities that move away from the norm. We’d urge you to try thali, essentially a larger plate made up of various Indian delicacies and flavours. Ystrad Mynach loves Viceroy of India, so it’s wise to book ahead.
Excellent in all respects, as is usual here! We love the food, the staff are really kind and pleasant, as is the owner of this restaurant. No waiting for service, and very tasty food. Thank you.,
Good food good service lovely restaurant what more do you want. If you are looking for a good restaurant I can highly recommend the viceroy.
I would not hesitate to highly recommend the Viceroy Of India, excellent food served, excellent friendly service. I would not hesitate to go there again.
Really clean and bright environment with lovely atmosphere. Staff all pleasant and food was lovely. Some reviews have complained about the service being slow, but it was nice not to be rushed! You had time to eat one course before they brought the next. Lovely evening!
1st time of visiting this restaurant mid week. found the food to good but not as good as on the last visit which was on a weekend a month or so ago. staff seem to less interested in customer care than usual overall dining experience was good but could have been better. reason for visit was daughters birthday
Always enjoy dining here. The food is great, service is good. Only awarded 4 on this visit as the starter was practically empty and they didn't seem to be in a rush to replenish it until it got busier. I think during the colder months it would benefit from a plate warmer.
Lovely food very tasty attentive staff but not the most chatty didn’t bother me though. We ordered from the menu portions were generous. Good value as well and nice cold beer. We will eat here again
We went as a family of 3. Great food and friendly atmosphere. Our son enjoyed the corma and naan. Good selection of dishes and side dishes were delicious with the popadums.
The food was good but the service was not brilliant. They were not exactly busy, but there may have been some communication issues with the kitchen.
Drinks were flat no fizz , had to ask for the buffet food to be re filled more than once , some curry's very waterie,
