About Bangla City at Viceroy Indian - Hyde
Once upon a time, when the Viceroys were in change of what was then the British Raj, the scope of what we now know as India was much larger. The modern day 29 states of the world’s largest democracy were joined by the current countries of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Afghanistan and Myanmar. The cuisines of these nations are often lumped together in the UK under the banner of Indian cuisine, but at Viceroy Indian in Manchester, they offer a little more authentic taste of the diversity of the subcontinent. In fact, in the form of their Bangla City branch on Grafton Street in the centre of Hyde, they offer specialities from Sylhet, delicacies from Dhaka and curries from Chittagong, as well as the traditional tandoori dishes that one would expect to see. Book a table and set a course for the east of Manchester for a real Bangladeshi feast.

Large group including 2 young children for a birthday celebration. Everyone enjoyed the food and left overs taken home for following day. Service was pleasant and 2 for1 price ensured value for money. The only down side is once bill paid no staff came to say goodbye as we left and ask if meal was good.
Friendly service and quick ( though we went at 5.30pm). Food was tasty and plentiful. Asked the waiter what he would recommend, however, he didn't manage to. Asked for lime and soda but they had run out of lime (Saturday night?). Lovely meal though. Thanks.
Great food excellent customer service and splendid entertainment. Prices were reasonable and an excellent and varied choice on the menu we left the restaurant feeling well full, thank you Viceroy.
