Food is good. Fresh ingredients and beer. One of my fave restaurants.
Aways a great experience dining at Tonkichi. The good was good as usual and the wait staff were friendly and efficient.
It’s strange that the staff were almost never seen. Very hard to get tea refills or place new orders. The PVC leather on the seats was badly cracked and it felt very uncomfortable sitting on it. The tonkotsu ramen soup was terribly salty. The tempura soba came with the tempura items all soggy. They should put them on a separate dish instead of putting them on top of the tempura soba. Overpriced meal.
Tonkatsu is good. But ramen is so-so. Ambience is very good. Quiet environment too.
Quality of food is good as usual! Enjoy the consistent and delicious offerings by Tonkichi
The premium katsu was a great disappointment. Cabbage was also not as finely cut as before.
Not much promotion. If only there are more cheaper option for lunch time will be ideal
Always had a enjoyable meal with my family here. Free refills of veg is a must!
Been to this restaurant at least once a month, great service.
Service staff was attentive & nice food. Good for family meals. Free refills for cabbage & rice :)
Had the usual rose tonkatsu. Consistent good food and good service. Worth revisiting
The food was tasty & the sevice was gd & prompt
The food was good & the portion was just nice.
I was impressed with the auto service being provided from the way I walked in to payment time. I was thankful for 5% discount being automatically given to me as J Passport member too.
Service staff were attentive and did their best to provide whatever we needed.
Had the rosu tonkatsu on a week day for lunch. It can be quite crowded during week days so it is recommended to make bookings.
Quite crowded for a weekday lunch. Good value sets are available. I always have the rosu set for the tender pork katsu. Oysters are good too.
Great ambience. Extremely friendly staff. Will come again for sure.
rice is nice. however too many fried food choices, not suitable to child and old people.
Good food and friendly efficient service staff. Always a nice experience dining at Tonkichi
The food in the menu looks totally different from the actual food served to me, but overall service, ambience, place and food was alright too.
My girl and her friend enjoyed their Mentaiko Kasane Katsu Set and Cheese Kasane Katsu Set. She said it was the best of Mentaiko Kasane Katsu she had ever taken so far. It was more of the ingredients and less of flour that made it tasty.
Service was quick and katsu standard is good. Will be back
Go-to place for tonkatsu with standards. Frying / breading always done right, crispy and clean
The deep fried pork fillet is good. Nice place. Good
Kind of average for a tonkatsu place. Food was average, service was competent enough. Staff came around often enough to offer top ups of cabbage and green tea.
Staff service was good. The curry rice was nicely done. Restaurant was not crowded during a weekday lunch hour.
Food was good, service too. Complimentary tea was refilled many times and this is authentic Japanese food
We went to celebrate my god son birthday last night. The tonkasu is fantastic. The staff are friendly and provided plates and lighter for birthday cake cutting.
Nabeyaki udon is tasty. We reached at 630pm,restaurant not crowded. Service is good and friendly. The server keeps refilling our tea. Will definitely visit again. Must try their signature tonkatsu.
Had a nice quiet corner for long catch up with ex colleagues. Waitresses were friendly and asked on top up regularly. Recommended dish was good
Restaurant closes at 3pm. Last order at 230pm thus was very rushed. Restaurant did call on the day itself to inform which was nice of them.
Friendly service staff and great attitude especially outstanding for a neighborhood mall. I had a comfortable lunch and felt well taken care of. Will definitely be back again!
They are having a 50% on 2nd main course ordered on weeknights. So it is a very good deal. We find the pork cutlets much tastier than the Chicken ones. Originally we wanted to order the premium ones. We will try the premium ones that were from Japan the next round.
Happy to get a booth seat through reservation. Ordered the Katsu Combo for 3. As they were all deep fried (Prawn, Loin, Oyster), it was quite filling when into 2 pieces each. Price could be more pocket-friendly.
Restaurant was busy at dinner time on a Saturday, however the manager managed to prepare a table for us although we arrived much earlier than reservation time. We were promptly served after a long queue was formed behind us. They turnaround table very efficiently as that queue had also disappeared after we sat down. The staff recommended their premium Japanese pork over the USA product, it was not disappointing. The fried pork was succulent and juicy but not oily; it is easy to bite down and the flavour burst into my mouth! My only complaint is that the cabbage was a little too wet and not as crunchy as expected. Overall, excellent indeed!
Fast service with delicious food. Able to help lay out food when we wanted to share food instead. Wished they had more non fried food choices.
quiet ambience. perhaps it is due to the costs of food but overall is good
Pleasant and quiet ambience, will consider to go again for dining with my friends and family members. Staff was attentive to my needs as well.
Ordered their Ramen, not too bad. Conducive environment & friendly service staff. Should improve on their lunch menus as there’s not much selection for lunch sets
