We waited quite a while for the food come but i guess bcecause 2 big groups ordered before us. Though seems shorthanded, the staffs are attentive to our needs. Food is delicious and thanks for the special kind arrangement of take away gift for mothers.
The restaurant makes an effort to accommodate my last minute request to add 2 more persons on a busy weekend. Thumbs up!
Reasonably priced... a good dining hangout with family & friends! Will visit again!
Decent experience. Chendol was good. Great for a casual dinner.
Best peranakan food. Very authentic and the price is very reasonable.
Enjoy the place and meal, thumb up to all service staff
Delicious food. Good service. Interesting pleasant environment. Affordable prices. Thank you!
My friends were surprised that there's such a restaurant here with such nice dishes
The buah keluak was tasty tho meagre in portion with just one nut - you have to buy extra nuts which we did, since everyone wanted to try. The Otah which I usually pass on at restaurants was surprisingly meaty and good. The chap chye is sad.
Food was really decent comparing with price and against other Peranakan restaurants. However, seems like all Peranakan restaurants serves in pretty small portion, so got to order more portion if it’s a big group. Portion serves 2 just fine. Service was slightly slower due to only one person taking order on a crowded sunday evening, wanted to re order, but the orderer was just too busy to take our orders. Place is small and cosy, thus noise level can be really high however negligible. Overall, a nice place to dine in considering food are good and served at reasonable price.
Always enjoyed my food there but the common comments I got from my family members :- food seems cold, should be served hot.
The food is delicious. My favourite is the Babi Pontek. The price is reasonable. The service is good.
Acoustics of restaurants with mostly tiled areas will cause noise to bounce. Always helpful to have some “padded paintings” or drapes or quilts as backdrop somewhere to help with noise absorption. But we were there early and I was probably making a lot of noise laughing%
Great service and awesome food! My favourite spot for Peranakan food!
The staff bush keluak is damm good! Carpark is hard to find though.
Great food. Sambal belachan was awesome. Chap chye & beef rendang siok
Overall, everything seems fine with us. Thank you for the serviced.
My second time here . Wanted to try the fish head , chose Assam instead of curry , tasted Ok but somewhat disappointing, the beef rendang was good though , really tender and lemak. Overall , an enjoyable dinner !
This Peranakan restaurant is good for the food quality and value-for-money. Service is good and efficient despite only one service staff is on duty.
Like in my previous visits, I enjoy this meal. This time I brought 3 friends who had not been there. All of us like the food. The service is good too. It will be even better if there are more vegetable dishes to choose.
Set menu was good value for money . Lamb shank was in the special menu, very tender and the rendang was very tasty. Dessert was not too sweet. Will definitely come again .
Best Peranakan food at affordable price. Note on their outlet in Orchard is bit more pricy.
The food is good and reasonably priced at this quaint little eatery. I love coming here for hearty Peranakan in a homely environment. I look forward to coming back again.
Main dishes were generally satisfying, except chincalok omelette, didn’t taste any hint of chincalok at all. desserts a let down, service was efficient & prompt.
Pretty good food n service was fast. Alittle short handed
Food is delicious and authentic Peranakan. Especially enjoyed the seafood otak. Thought it’s the best I have eaten. The dumplings are just as good. Tried the ones with chicken filling in the past but they have since stopped making it. Hope they will consider using chicken besides pork which may not be popular with the health conscious. Highly recommended and not forgetting the pricing is reasonable.
wonderful and delicious. ambience is good. quite near to MRT.
Good variety of peranakan food. Food is delicious. Deco is nice. Price is reasonable. However parking could be not so easy. We enjoyed the meal.
The food have been very good though spicy for some. The service is very good and the staff are attentive. I will recommend friends there.
Local hawkers food. The curry chicken noodle is nice. But for the crayfish/big prawn ipoh hor fun not worth paying such a dear price and it is terrible tasteless.
Great tasting food, very full bodied flavour and the specials were good. quiet night as well. Pricing was reasonable and the service was attentive and good.
Good food and ambience. Manager is very nice and friendly. Will definitely bring my friends there whenever there's a meet up. Keep it up. cheers........
Food is great so are the staff who are nice and friendly. Have been there several times already. Will be bringing friends there soon .
Nice authentic food which has a good spread. Suitable for families as there are dishes for kids. The sets provide a balanced meal and value for money.
1) Service is average. 2) Overall, food is good. In my opinion, their seafood dishes taste better than pork ones because the flavour of the sauce/gravy went better with fish & sotong. I believe this was due to the mixture of well-proportioned assam and other spices, which made the sauce/gravy delicious. Also, the cooking time was well-controlled so that the meat was within good palatable texture. (I've no idea about poultry and beef because I did not order those.) 3) The most commendable was the dessert: Chendol. Coconut flavour was rich, the gula melaka was substantial yet not too sweet, the green jelly (chendol) was chewy and thicker compared to many other places', the azuki beans was the bigger type, and there was a slight salty tinge in the aftertaste of the chendol. That salty flavour is actually traditionally authentic to Peranakan flavour. Thank you.
Always my favourite , I used to bring friends to dinner
The foods are delicious and cheap. The staff are so attentive and friendly. The food arrive fast and what great is they don't add service charge.
Good food with nice variety to choose on menu, for both ala carte and sets. Friendly and helpful staff. Affordable prices. However hopefully got more parking nearby.
The dishes are nice. Will recommend other friends to go too as the staff and ambience is good and attentive. Place is also clean too
