There are times when we need a respite from the hustle and bustle of Singapore city life and if you’re based around Buona Vista, you’re in luck. Nestled within the leafy surrounds of Rochester Park is Thyme @ Rochester, an unbelievably laid-back bistro where you can dine on quality western European cuisine while you catch up with your friends. Its wide-ranging menu options include appetisers, salads, pastas, pizzas, burgers and even breakfast and brunch options for the early birds. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the best of what nature and Thyme @ Rochester have to offer – just remember to reserve ahead to avoid disappointment.
Quiet and serene. Very much like Dempsey but smaller. Food is of good quality. Service is friendly and excellent. Not many choices to the menu though. Will definitely go there again.
Good food at reasonable prices, friendly staff who took the time to explain to us recommended items on the menu. Will probably go back there again
Wonderful food , wonderful service. Do try their Spaghetti con Gamberi ( Prawns Spaghetti ) , Boeuf a la Bourguignon ( Beef Bourguignon) , Chicken Leg with pumpkin mash .
Food was fine, not fantastic though, place was a little hard to find and quite out of the way. Service was good and friendly but felt kind of fake. Great atmosphere.
Attentive staffs and the food are really delicious. Can see that they put in a lot of effort in preparing the main course. The seat is kinda restricted if they have more than 1 big group (more 6pax) reservation as the chairs are quite near to one another. It is a nice al fresco dining place, away from the hustle and bustle of the everyday urban living.
Thyme @ Rochester was a lovely experience! The smoked duck and mushroom pizza was delicious and the chicken confit was good as well! The owners were really friendly and we felt welcomed (:
A newly opened joint, with a quaint al fresco dining style and a small playground, perfect for families with young children. We had the salmon and the beef bourguignon, beef was tender and the red wine reduction went very well with it. Salmon was a tad overcooked for our liking but still delicious.
Had the Sausage Linguine Aglio e Olio ($12++) for the lunch set which came with a soft drink. Slightly peppery even after the exclusion of chilli padi. The staff was a tab blur when I told him that I had reservation. The non-aircon place was quite cooling.
Thyme was a lovely place and it was very worth it with the Entertainer App as well! Good food too so it was a great experience (:
Quiet place with good ambience. Very few people there. However we were bitten by mozzies. The choc cake was good and dense. Not too sweet. Recommended for ordering.
