Hidden inside Klapsons Boutique Hotel on Hoe Chiang Road in Tanjong Pagar is one of Singapore’s most artful gourmet restaurants – The Rabbit Stash. Serving Singapore-style cuisine prepared with a focus on French traditions to the city’s culinary-minded patrons for a couple of years now, The Rabbit Stash has slowly grown in reputation. In 2013 The Rabbit Stash was featured in Tatler’s Singapore eating and drinking guide, and listed as a Top Table for the city. 2014 brought further success to chef Matthew Mok and the restaurant itself, both making the final of Singapore’s Gourmet Summit among other impressive accolades.

Klapsons Boutique Hotel is less a layover spot, more an experience in itself, a combination of contemporary design, utmost comfort and phenomenal location on Hoe Chiang Road. It makes sense, then, that this hotel in Tanjong Pagar is home to The Rabbit Stash, where diners are invited to sample some of the very finest food in Singapore. Prepared by celebrated chef Matthew Mok, whose trademarked ENSOPHI principles – exotic, nostalgic, soil, ocean, piquancy, heritage and impression – guide the kitchen’s creativity, The Rabbit Stash offers guests a formal dining experience of gastronomic art complete with spectacular views out over Singapore. With a limited-seating dining room, it makes sense to book before heading over to The Rabbit Stash.

Head chef Matthew Mok does an excellent line in set menus, offering up five-, seven- and belly-busting nine-course tasting menus, popular with groups, couples and families alike. Paired with beautiful European and New World wines, it’s no wonder that Rabbit Stash has scooped several awards in its lifetime. This is not to say that Klapson’s The Rabbit Stash in Tanjong Pagar takes itself entirely seriously. Looking over Hoe Chiang Road, The Rabbit Stash is also home to a lively bar that hosts some of Singapore’s finest musicians and performers, particularly in the summer months. Special events include a 1-for-1 ladies’ night special every Wednesday, long weekday happy hours for house beers spirits, and wines, prosecco and craft beer from 4pm until 9pm, 1-for-1 lunch deals and more.

This is my 1st time visit this restaurant, thanks to Donna and team for the special arrangement to my surprise request to my love one. We tried our casual menu for the 1st time, definitely will visit again for fine dining menu. The food and service was great and the environment was good. Keep it up for the good service and spirit of serving customer. Cheers

Matthieu and Donna are wonderful hosts. One of the better dining experiences I have had anywhere, not just Singapore. The seven course menu was brilliant! I look forward to Matthieu's next menu experience, so we can see what he comes up with again. Donna and team are the perfect compliment to Matthieu's skills, they are so friendly, humble and welcoming. Service was fantastic and the food was really amazing. My Wife is not a big seafood person and she loved all of the seafood experiences. Presentation of each dish was really beautiful...every dish has you looking forward to the next. I will absolutely be going back to the Rabbit Stash again.

Lovely place. Lovely people. The hostess Donna was attentive, friendly and gracious. Chef Mathew actually did a kind of "performance" piece for dessert which was a real treat. Food was creative and meticulously prepared. The CBD tends to be deserted on weekday evenings but perhaps more people should make the foray here to enjoy their special occasions.

This restaurant embodies the ideal of romance. With a dim ambience enhanced by the uniquely designed candlelight and fine, polished display of furniture, any couple would already begin to feel the alluring serenity that allows for an exoticly romantic evening. The food is planned for you by the chef, allowing you to decide between a 3-7 course dinner (if I remember the numbers correctly). The service is excellent and the staff are very attentive, like refilling your water, changing cutlery after every course, and explaining the theme of each course. The food is prepared with effort and finesse, and I honestly expected to pay much more for such a good culinary variety and quality. And when I say variet, I really mean variety - some of the food will shock and amaze you with the creativity and originality with which it is prepared, all without the expense of taste. The soft and gentle bossanovic music only serves to accentuate the exquisiteness of the already very fine dining, as well as create the groove for sparks to fly between couples. Much recommended for a classy, romantic getaway amongst a stash of rabbits. Only one thing - the rabbit statue design could be cuter though.

Mathew ( the chef cum owner ) and his crew ( particularly Chandan , the OPS mgr ) didn't disappoint us at all : food is excellent and full of creativity and service is first class .. We thoroughly enjoyed the dinner and compliments must be given to the canapé before start of main course - we actually thought we were into the listed main course after 3 or 4 serving until we were told it has not started yet !! Quite frankly , we were already half full by which time ! Nevertheless , very proud our local boy is able to produce such high standard of French cuisine with local twist , well done !! Perhaps it's due to year end festivities , the price per head is significantly more than our previous visit in May this year .. I guess we can accept it but otherwise it may lose some clientele . Overall highly recommended !

very friendly and attentive service; contemporary cuisine with a bit of SE Asia twist; the chef had spent a lot of effort to make sure the dishes are special; good portion control such that you still have the stomach for the main and dessert after all the appetizers one of the area of improvement is the overall performance of the wine: in terms of the glasses used, the pairing with food, the choices of wine, temperature of the wine when served, all these area can be improved. Don't get me wrong, the wine are not bad at all and indeed I like the red wine that was served, but at this price point I have seen better. In overall it is a nice dinner experience that you won't regret.

Pleasantly surprised by how such a good restaurant would have gone unnoticed by my friends and i. The waiting staff were all very attentive and meticulous, Chef was generous to offer us complimentary appetizers and mini desserts. Did not have a voracious appetite that day and requested to scale down our menus to 5 courses i/o 7 and the restaurant was kind to help us out on that. Overall a pleasant experience and would definitely return.

Beautiful service. Considerate, sensitive and personal. Beautiful food, with the most interesting presentation by the chef! The only thing I would ask for is a little more light - so that the photos would turn out clearer. :)
