Great Punk Tea! Would definitely recommend to others. Lovely food and different to most 'afternoon tea' offers. Cocktails are good too and the service was spot on!

Really enjoyed our meal on Wednesday night. Polite, helpful staff and a lovely atmosphere. We were attending the Paint Republic taking place there, which really added to our experience. A wonderful night all in all!

We were slightly late arriving as booked taxis didn't show. Three of us arrived desperate for the loo, unfortunately only 2 toilets working - one of these a disabled one. 10 minute wait, then dryer wasn't working and no hand towels, had to use loo paper, overflowing waste bin. toilets were pretty awful. Spoke to one of the staff who said they were waiting for workmen. Table was booked for 5.30, we were all seated by 5.40, had to go to bar to request our order be taken. Food was really nice and well presented. Vegan and vegetarian food was very good. Cocktails in teapots great idea, although the vodka one was exceedingly sweet. This was a birthday celebration for my daughter and overall we had an enjoyable evening. Baltic Social is a lovely place {pity about the toilets}, the food was great and the staff were very helpful, smiley and polite. We will return some time (hopefully the toilets will be sorted by then).

The food was really nice and at other afternoon tea places, because there was a odd number of us, we've had to pay for an extra person due to the tea being for 2 but they don't do that. The only downside was the cocktail in the teapots. We have all had the ones we chose before and yet none of us thought it tasted anything like it should, there was none or little alcohol in them and they were full of syrup. There was a large variety of drinks to choose from aside from the afternoon tea cocktails though and the atmosphere, service (in general) and decoration/quirkiness made the whole experience fantastic.

We went on a Thursday evening to celebrate my husband's birthday. The waitresses were very attentive and friendly. We ordered the nachos with ham & apple as a shared starter followed by burgers- 3 with beef brisket & one veggie. All delicious & served promptly. The bar staff were happy to follow my husband' s instructions to mix him a rum cocktail ( he's very particular!) Overall a positive experience & I would be happy to return.

Baltic Social is a trendy place, it was very busy when we arrived and throughout our time there. We booked a table, others hadn't so had to be turned away so my advice would definitely be to book beforehand! I would say it was slightly understaffed but the service was still really good and the staff were really nice. Menu was simple, mainly comprising of sandwiches or burgers where sides cost extra. The food is nice though and reasonably priced, and there's also a decent selection of beers and other drinks available.

It was a good punk afternoon tea but what was dissapointing was that whilst eating there was a constant flow of musicians dragging heavy equipment throgh the venue, shouting to each other what too do, etc etc. The food was nice and staff pleasant but our order fell down the pecking order and groups who had arrived after us were receiving their drinks and food well before us and we had been there a good ten minutes before them. Not sure if I would go again and I'm a very relaxed type of customer who tries to see the best in everything and give somewhere the benefit of the doubt.

Excellent venue, amazing selection of local and national craft and cask ales. The 'Punk' afternoon tea was well presented, with tasty well designed food but some of the deserts were slightly stale. The service was slow, more attention paid to larger tables and the staff spent the majority of their spare time at the bar with their backs to diners. Making it very difficult to get staffs attention. All in all a mixed afternoon, but I certainly won't let that put me off going again

Really fun idea for afternoon tea but we did have a few complaints. Fries were mega, mega spicy. So spicy we couldn't eat them. Then once we'd eaten the savoury element of the afternoon tea we had ketchup and mayo, bits of hot dogs on our plates but when we asked for a new side plate for cakes/sweet stuff the waitress said they'd run out! Wasn't a deal breaker and I'd go again for afternoon tea, service was friendly and we did get checked on a few times. Good one to go for if you are carrying on for a night out afterwards.

Great Bar , Brilliant Food (Punk afternoon tea is awesome) , Friendly & helpful staff . the only reason it is not a 6 was due to our location in the bar (next to the dj) the music was far too loud and we were having to shout to speak to each other as we were eating . Besides this Baltic Social is a brilliant bar and we will most definitely be back soon

Great time with the kids and my husband. First proper family outing with our latest addition too, and would have given a overall score of 6, but the building isn't accessible so had to lift the pram up the flight of steps to get in. Service and food both brill, defo a fave place to return to.

We booked specifically for the punk afternoon tea and it did not disappoint. The food was hot, tasty and plentiful and the cakes were moist and fresh and the sweets were none too shabby. The teapots full of cocktails were divine and the service was fast and friendly. I cannot recommend them enough. Xxx

'Ladies who lunch' date for half term so we tried the punk afternoon tea......it was brilliant! Food unusual for an afternoon tea and so much better than the normal sandwiches and scones. Service and welcome both first rate. Would highly recommend.

The venue is good set in an old warehouse. However the food was unappealing. I ordered the fish finger sandwich. It was dry and had more batter than fish. My friend ordered the club sandwich and again it was dry. Both of us had ordered the white bread option and by the looks of it, it should have stayed in the bread bin. But it was cheap so you get what you pay for. Been there won't go back.

Just got back from a very disappointing visit to the Baltic social. I had booked in to have afternoon tea with my gran, I rang twice to confirm my booking and what afternoon tea we were having. Upon arrival we were greeted and sat at our table, we sat down and we were asked what we would like to order, I explained we had booked in for afternoon tea... the lady told us we could not have this as we would of had to of paid a deposit, I was never asked for one?! She then continued on to tell us that the kitchen would of needed to order in the food for the afternoon tea as otherwise they don't have it. Is it all frozen produce that you serve? After I then explained that I had rang at the end of November to confirm everything the lady said she'd need to check who was on shift as it wasn't her fault... After much thought my gran and I decided to stay and try the lunch menu and give them the Benefit of the doubt... we ordered a cocktail jug for our drinks ... then a Cajun chicken burger with fries, which were uncooked and the bread of the burger was soggy and dropping in oil... my gran had a beetroot, mustard and cheese sandwich. For a cocktail, and two sandwiches £30!!!! Very disappointing

Nice place and the food was ok. We had a late Sunday lunch which was fairly standard for this kind of venue, staff may have been a bit tired following an earlier rush of people as they weren't very attentive. Sorry guys, if it's great you get a great review but overall this was just ok.

Was good, food was nice maybe a little cold. Bubblegum cake did not taste like bubble gum at all & oreo cake was substituted for a very dense chocolate browny. Chips where awful. Felt quite awkward in the venue, not very relaxing & felt a little grubby inside. Would not go back again.

Although the service and food was good, there was no indication on the website that you could only have PUnk afternoon tea or a Roast dinner. We had 4 vegetarians in our party and we had hoped to get a veggi burger of halloumi, instead we had to make do with a roast, which not many of us even wanted.
