The cheekily named Thai’d Me Up can conjure some interesting visual imagery, but a visit to this Bukit Timah Thai restaurant will have you feeling all kinds of satisfied. Jokes aside, Chef Me Up has created a menu that brings together a culmination of Thai tradition and modern inspirations from the multicultural playground of Singapore. Inspired from his childhood growing up in the rolling hills of Chiang Mai in Northern Thailand, this Bukit Timah Road delight boast fresh and flavoursome options that will have you coming back for more.
After a long day exploring Singapore’s vast and beautiful Botanic Gardens or the vibrant Little India district, there is no better place to get tied up in than Thai’d Me Up. To be found in the Bukit Timah district occupying a modern space in the Balmoral Complex along the famous Bukit Timah Road, this restaurant explores modern interpretations of traditional North Thai cuisine. We recommend sampling the som tum papaya salad and pairing it with pla kra neung ma nao (steamed sea bass) that comes with Chef Me Up’s signature and perfectly balanced lime and garlic sauce.
After many years of perfecting his craft and drawing inspiration from all aspects of modern gastronomy, Chef Me Up has realised his vision of a modern restaurant situated right in the heart of Bukit Timah. While Singapore is spoiled for choice with a plethora of exotic dining options, Thai’d Me Up offers something unique and special to this vast foodscape. The menu is modern yet unpretentious and you really get the feeling you’re in the presence of someone living their dream. In fact, dreaming the balmy Singapore night away on the terrace makes for a perfect date night. Book now to get roped in like we have.
The food is fantastic and portion is definitely generous. The ingredients were fresh and I love the Tom yum soup which is very flavorful. Service was very prompt as well.
Food was good. Service was good too. Will be back.
Authentic Thai food like homemade cooking with nice ambience which was cozy. Hardworking and friendly staffs who apologise if they r late which I feel its a good gesture as they understand customers patience respect it 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Food is good, especially the tom yum soup and the grilled squid. Environment is suitable for get togethers since its not crowded during the weekdays.
There was no other patrons at the indoor dining area. Food was decently priced. I enjoyed the omelette with prawns. However, the tom yum goong with seafood only had one prawn and the red ruby, though generous in amount, had a funny after taste that I didn’t enjoy.
Food was very good & service was excellent . I will definitely return to this restaurant. We had prawn cakes, fried rice with crab meat, green curry with beef, stir fried kailan
Hidden gem serving quality Thai food in a nice ambience. Ordered Prawn Pad Thai, Kai Lan, Steamed Sea Bass with Lime & Ginger (highly recommended) & Red Chicken Curry. Would definitely visit again.
I enjoyed the pad thai noodles. The lime added flavour to the noodles. It is a very good welcome to this neighbourhood. The chill out vibes and the friendly staff make my day.
Very authentic Thai cuisine . Service staff attentive and polite . Love the prawn cake ! Steamed sea bass also very fresh . Prices mid range . Overall a good experience!
Good customer service and amazing ambiance. Steamed seabass was so so and Thai iced tea was a disappointment. Prawn cakes, tom yum soup, chicken cubes and vege were yummy!
