More about Teta's, Roseville Chase

Meaning grandma’s in Arabic, Teta’s prepares the type of cuisine that’ll make you think of sweet memories and good times past. Yes, the food here evokes feelings of childhood, and that’s because Teta’s serves comfort food that makes diners feel warm and fuzzy. The Lebanese and Armenian specialties of this calibre can’t be found anywhere else in Sydney. And even better, the place is family-run, so come on in and experience that cosy feeling you’ve been after at this restaurant in Sydney’s Roseville Chase.

Using local and sustainable ingredients, the kitchen team at Teta’s aims to emulate the fresh cooking style that’s used in Lebanon and Armenia. Start off with a sambousik, a savoury pastry filled with minced lamb, onions and pine nuts, or take a plate of fried calamari served with aioli and lemon. For your entree, try the samke harra, a grilled barramundi fillet topped with coriander, tahini, capsicum, chilli, garlic and onion. Vegetarian? Try the hummus and homemade falafel or go for the baba ghannouj, a creamy eggplant dip made with garlic and tahini. If that’s up your alley (it’s definitely up ours) we recommend making a reservation for Teta’s on Babbage Road in Sydney’s Roseville Chase.

Excellent food and service. Great value because the servings are large and can take home leftovers. Sunday night and the main area was full. Nice atmosphere and easy parking at back.

We dined here last night as a family of four. The restaurant was packed to the rafters yet the service was impeccable. We are from a Middle Eastern background so .. we know what a good feed is! This is by far , the best Lebanese restaurant in Sydney. This place would actually put some international restaurants to shame. Every thing is done to perfection. Strongly advise that you visit Teta's . Teta's means " Grandma's" .. and the food on offer here is nothing short of what Grandma used to make for us when she was alive. My favourites : Sambussac , Kibbe , tabouli , fatoush , homous , garlic sauce , all the grilled meats , lemon chicken ... actually the whole menu is to die for , I have pretty much smashed it all in the past 2 years and can not fault any of it. Do yourselves a favour.. Hit this place up !

Teta's is a little hidden Lebanese gem in the burbs. Everything about Teta's is friendly, homely and comforting...from the food to the service. Definitely a local favorite, always a good sign when the tables are full just about every night. One to bring family and friends to for a taste experience or just to have your favorite Lebanese dish cooked fresh and home style.

Wonderful, tasty food with generous servings. Best selection of desserts we have ever had in a Lebanese restaurant. We were surprised that the large upstairs area was so full on a Sunday night and, indeed, it is good for large groups of young(er) people who enjoyed the belly dancer and the loud music. Being older and wanting to chat, we were grateful to be relocated to the quieter downstairs. So, be aware and ask for the downstairs if noise is an issue. Service was friendly and efficient. Parking is easy, either behind the restaurant or across the road. Altogether, we are happy to have discovered Teta's.

Great food and atmosphere is good for a lively meal. Service is friendly but they were struggling to keep up with it last night. It wasn't terrible, but we did have to ask for some things a few times towards the end of the meal, which considering we had a set banquet, was a sign they were under the pump. It certainly didn't ruin our night or experience, but some people may find it frustrating. As the night goes on they have a belly dancer and loud music, so I would recommend eating early or on a night they don't have a dancer if you want a quiet, intimate experience.
