There’s something about a reliable local sushi joint. It’s a familiar comfort, a fall-back for convenient, homely satisfaction that won’t break the bank or spoil the diet when things get tough. That’s something – but Teru Sushi is a whole lot more. Sure, the sushi is all of those things – satisfying, comforting, healthy and affordable – but this funky spot on Tiong Bahru Road makes much more of an experience out of eating than the majority of casual Japanese restaurants in Singapore. For starters, there are Teru Sushi’s famous fresh oysters and the ever-enticing fresh catch of the day that seriously boost the seafood resume of this Tiong Bahru favourite. Add to that Teru Sushi’s great Japanese bento boxes, mentai, wagyu beef sets, foie gras creations and the like (not to mention refreshing beers) and you get the picture of a perfectly well-rounded Japanese eatery. Be sure to reserve a seat or table before you go, because Teru Sushi has a loyal clientele!
First time to this place, the oysters are fresh and the sushi are nice. The waitress are attentive. The price is reasonable as the food is delicious. Will come back again.
Very helpful & fast service. Nice food but a bit pricey. Seating area is small but bar counter has ample seating. Had private rooms but not sure what is the spending
Small place packed with good fresh food. Price range is acceptable, of course the awesome stuff is towards the higher end. The chef creates some unique combination of food flavours too.
Staff were friendly and the food was amazing. The $1 oysters were very fresh and good! We got our food relatively quickly and the lunch deals were value for money.
Very fresh but serving just just a bit too small. But overall, the food is good and service is good too. One of the best so far I have eaten.
Food was great and ambience was perfect as it was not too crowded. Service was also decent. We really enjoyed it. We will definitely be back again next time. Terrific!
Easy to locate; food varieties pretty good; value for money; do try the salmons and the yellow fish cheeks; Been there often and each time found the food experience good.
Good food. Please pace out the food. Our food came all at once and the fried food was left cold by the time we got to it.... a pity!
The one-dollar oysters are great. They are generous too, in that the promo is valid just on its own without needing to get anything else. But do try other sushi, generally yummy and fresh.
The food is ridiculously fresh, which explains for the high price. The $1 oyster is a must buy dish for it's quality and price. Service can be improved when I am making an order.
