About Tenryu Japanese Dining

It’s the honest truth that Singapore is not wanting for Japanese restaurants, yet they tend to be clustered downtown, have a hefty price-tag, and leave heartland districts out in the cold. None of the above apply to Tenryu Japanese Dining, an exemplary Japanese restaurant in the Dairy Farm Estate (down Dairy Farm Road) in Bukit Panjang. It’s popular among many Bukit Batok and Upper Bukit Timah gourmets with a nose for the real deal, and eschews the usual shopping mall location for a venue that exudes home comfort. Remember that if you’re coming in by public transport, the closest MRT is Hillview, and while here you can quite easily eat Japanese every day, whatever you choose don’t miss the incredibly priced premium don bowls!

The food is very nice. The sushi is hand-made. The place is deco as very simple but very comfortable. The price is reasonable. Good experiences.

A cosy place tucked in a corner. The food is good and the people nice and friendly. Very relaxed dining environment. There's no service charge, do leave a tip for the service. Enjoy.

Food was decent ; interior could do with a bit brighter and warmer lighting, instead of the white light used. The service was attentive.. a new waiter was being trained, and much as I understand that training was in progress, his trainer was a bit loud and was barking instructions/corrections a bit too loudly (but fortunately not rudely)... Felt that it was not so good to be within earshot of customers; perhaps the trainer himself needed a little training in situational awareness. :-)

Love tenryu's homely vibe and yummy food. It's also very accessible to hillview mrt by foot, but make sure you check their fb for video directions! Visitor parking is also ample (though prob the residents won't be too happy about this). I enjoyed my visit and will bring my parents next time. :)

Cosy and homely restaurant with excellent authentic Japanese food. Price was reasonable and does not have service change and GST. Service staff were friendly and attentive. The staff anticipated and served room temperature water to my daughter without us having to ask for it alongside with the green tea when we were seated. We have had an enjoyable dining experience here.

Tenryu Japanese Dining is a special Japanese restaurant that doesn't operate within your typical shopping mall but within a peaceful and green condo called Dairy Farm Estate. However, searching n entering the estate is an issue.

The restaurant location is situated inside a condominium community which is interesting. Food wise is quite average in my opinion. But they do serve a few variety of beer which are not commonly available. I ordered the Asahi Dry Dark beer , which I enjoyed very much with my meal. It has a smooth texture and very easy to drink. Overall it's a nice experience for a good dinner with family.
