Value for money yakitori but parking is a nightmare, drinks are not friendly to the wallet.
Good food. Nice e e e e e e e
Okay for a simple meal. Food quality was acceptable. Service was basic, nothing to rave about
It has been a longtime since I last ate there. The place is still the same as it is, except they have more varieties in their menu.
always been our go to Jap restaurant when we are near the vinicity
been there for many years...affordable jap food and nice restaurant

Homely Japanese food, comfortable place to dine with friends or family on a weekday night as it's not too crowded.
Very homely place and good food quality. Would visit again. Good deal on fave
Interesting dishes. Beautiful ambience. Will definitely return again very soon.

Nice foods. If comes with bundle meals might be even better.
Very reasonably priced Japanese family restaurant. Highly recommended. Food is definitely value for money.
Love the quality of the food and Japanese eatery ambience
Good food reasonable place. A bit hard to get to if not driving
Affordable, yet authentic japanese food! Really liked the vibes at the place
Food was served quick and it was ok not bad. Not gourmet standard but does the job.
When they when i have a craving for Japanese Cuisine. Was not disappointed the flavour was on-point. The variety was plenty, fried and savoury. They it both.
Affordabe and good for a quiet office lunch. Ample parking and conveniently accessible via bus for those working in the AngMoKio / YioChuKang / Thomson area.
Traditional Japanese atmosphere, authentic Japanese food and chill vibes. Will come back definitely. Not pricey as well, and friendly service. Wait for food was a bit long but understandable considering the volume of business
Tamako has two outlet at Thomson. We booked online for ten adults. We were well taken care and on time with our dinner. The meals were as expected authentic Japanese. All of us had a good dining experience.
Food is usual fare. The service was a bit slow but generally still ok.
great food but can tell there are new cost cutting measures in place
Nestled within the quiet neighbourhood of Casuarina Road, Tamako provides affordable, value-for-money Japanese food with quality. The teishoku comes with a fried prawn, 2 dumplings, potato salad, pork potato, edamame and your choice of fish. What a spread!
Apparently the owner of Tamako Meal has acquired Sapachiro 2 doors away, and you can now sit at either restaurant and order from either one's menu. This means some degree of inefficiency as the servers are constantly going from one restaurant to the other, including carrying the food out from one to the other.
Beer is expensive and side dishes/sushi are average. The variation in serving times is quite bad, one dish came 20 minutes after the first one was served.
Delicious Japanese food served with free hot green tea. The quality and affordability of the food, not to forget the sincerity of the serving staff have always contributed to the charm of this restaurant
Been here twice and will be back! This jap place has been around for many many years and they do have regular customers going back to them. Homely jap place for affordable jap food. Not the best but you will keep going back to them
Tamako is a cozy, family-like restaurant that serves quality Japanese meals at affordable prices. I had the salmon don and the salmon was fresh. The set meal was also served at a rather huge portion. i would definitely visit again.
Very reasonable prices and family friendly restaurant. They have been around for many years so they have a strong following.Reasonable price for a simple Japanese meal
Decent Japanese food with reasonable price. I ordered the yakitori set which came in 5 sticks. I can choose any stick from the selection given such as chicken, pork, asparagus wrapped in bacon etc. It costs me $10.80 for that. Three sticks fell off the plate when the waiter delivered it to me, so only 2 sticks were served. Later I was given another 5 sticks again. So $10.80 for 7 sticks, I was too full on top of other things I had ordered. The waiting time can be a bit longer if it is full house.
It located in at old Upper Thomson Road, located in the private estates. Near a busy street road, where it is very accessible by car.
It located in at old Upper Thomson Road, located in the private estates. Near a busy street road, where it is very accessible by car. That day i went for a early lunch, it was more busy then i expected. Food was great.
it was a nice experience. Japanese food in a local place somewhere it was quite visable accessible to the public. With a open air carpark.
Table was setup & reserved even though i booked ard 30mins before arrival time only. Food was good as usual despite the crowd. Wil definitely booked through Quandoo & patronise the place again.
My experience with this restaurant is not extremely good and also not too bad overall. I would say 50 points upon 100. However, I will still recommend friends.
Simple but delicious Japanese fare. Certainly a bargain for the quality of food dished out and the freshness of ingredients. Peak hours tend to be crowded though.
Tamako Meal serves tasty and authentic Japanese food. The pricing has slowly rose over the years but this is still a hearty place to satisfy your craving.
