Originally from Shanghai, Spicy House Restaurant takes its brand of Chengdu-style hot pot overseas for the first time – right to the banks of the Singapore River in Clarke Quay. With more than 100 ingredients on offer, you can look forward to cooking up a storm at this restaurant, situated on the ground floor of Riverside Point on Merchant Road. Not to be missed is the spicy mala soup base, which we highly recommend pairing with the nutritious chicken chestnut soup in the same pot. This outpost of Spicy House Restaurant comes with additions not found in its Chinese restaurants, such as the Japanese wagyu beef, guaranteed to provide an indulgent touch to your steamboat experience. Reserve ahead for the best seats!
Still my favourite hotpot place in Singapore. Though the variety of ingredients is not as wide as other hotpot place but they still have all the essential ingredients that you'll usually have during a hotpot session. On top of all that, the soup broth is so flavourful.
Good service and nice soup base especially the pig trotters soup base - Super yummy w the white radish and yam. Not sure bout the hygiene or maybe it's the mala but we had a tummy ache after. It's very expensive though. Around 100/pax even though we didn't order any seafood.
Super expensive steamboat place but very fresh ingredients and nice soup base. Ok to eat occasionally. Service is good.
