About Spicy House Restaurant 辣府

Originally from Shanghai, Spicy House Restaurant takes its brand of Chengdu-style hot pot overseas for the first time – right to the banks of the Singapore River in Clarke Quay. With more than 100 ingredients on offer, you can look forward to cooking up a storm at this restaurant, situated on the ground floor of Riverside Point on Merchant Road. Not to be missed is the spicy mala soup base, which we highly recommend pairing with the nutritious chicken chestnut soup in the same pot. This outpost of Spicy House Restaurant comes with additions not found in its Chinese restaurants, such as the Japanese wagyu beef, guaranteed to provide an indulgent touch to your steamboat experience. Reserve ahead for the best seats!

Still my favourite hotpot place in Singapore. Though the variety of ingredients is not as wide as other hotpot place but they still have all the essential ingredients that you'll usually have during a hotpot session. On top of all that, the soup broth is so flavourful.

Good service and nice soup base especially the pig trotters soup base - Super yummy w the white radish and yam. Not sure bout the hygiene or maybe it's the mala but we had a tummy ache after. It's very expensive though. Around 100/pax even though we didn't order any seafood.

Super expensive steamboat place but very fresh ingredients and nice soup base. Ok to eat occasionally. Service is good.

Soup base was tasty and I did not feel thirsty after eating! Food quality was really good but not much variety of food. Would have been better if they had more types of pork and chicken.

Second time in the restaurant. As usual, poor staff knowledge. Previously ordered the sliced fish and it had lots of bones. This time around the staff insisted there are no bones in this dish and convinced us to give it a 2nd try. we ordered and was disappointed to find lots of bones again. Feedback to the staff and she changed her tune saying that its meant to have bones for this dish. Seriously??! If she had just apologized, everything would have been fine but she just tried to wriggle her way out. Bad knowledge and attitude. Anyway, having given this place 2 chances, I am pretty sure i wont be back again.

Meats are fresh, service is good. Although Slightly pricy, I have been patronising this restaurant about 10 times for the past 8 months. I did not try the spicy soup base but it looks good. Will definitely recommend to friends.

Good atmosphere and very reasonable cost. Pretty good service, but somehow it is not easy to use their iPad to place orders. Staffs are friendly and we enjoyed the time over there.
