The service quality from all the staffs is top notch but the food quality was a little of a let down as we found most of the food being too salty to our liking. Apart from fruits and dessert, food options were not really child palette friendly (I have two picky eaters) so that is something to note. Free drinks option were limited to plain water (runs out faster than expected), coffee and tea which might turn some guests off. I was totally fine with it but did ended up paying almost $20 for 2 cans of coke for my children, parents with young children may wish to take note.

I enjoyed the local / Peranakan favourites from a wide variety from the buffet lunch spread. It’s quite reasonably priced too.

The seafood and services are excellent. Rita was very cheerful and Kelvin the manager was very efficient and friendly too. Choice of lobster as well as crabs in 3 styles ended the dinner well.

We had not visited Spices Cafe since before COVID but chose it because we wanted our overseas guest to try Peranakan food. We were surprised that Saturday dinner was now changed to Seafood Buffet. Nevertheless we enjoyed the excellent range of seafood but will return for lunch to try the Peranakan food during the weekdays.

I have celebrated my birthday at Spices Cafe on 27 April 2019. The atmosphere is still the same. Food wise…I think is not much different. Today I brought 3 females seniors with me. They are very satisfied with my recommendations. Along of of my gf said she will ask her gf to celebrate birthday at Spices Cafe. 😊👍
