Smoked, slow roasted and slathered in homemade BBQ sauce, the premium meat dishes served up by Smokey’s BBQ amount to some of the best all-American food in Singapore. Burgers, buffalo wings, and craft beers are the order of the day at the South Buona Vista branch, just off of South Buona Vista Road. This diner boasts of its 20-hour slow-roasting technique, but thankfully the service is speedy – you’re never left hanging, despite this American diner’s popularity. Still, it’s never a bad idea to book ahead.
Happy Hour from 11.30am to 7pm and 10pm to close.
At the Smokey’s BBQ South Buona Vista outlet, the kitchen team – just like at the other branches – imports a secret blend of seasonings, mesquite and hickory wood chips direct from the US for use in its custom smokers, tenderly infusing a selection of prime meats that are themselves imported air-chilled and never frozen: baby back pork ribs, St Louis spare ribs, prime beef brisket, Angus beef, chicken legs, Dutch veal ribs, and southern fried smoked fish. And the sixteen-coaches-long train of ride American cuisine doesn’t end there. Singapore’s Smokey’s BBQ has a selection of burgers that will challenge all but the loudest mouths: from the Smokey’s Classic Burger to Grandpa Joe’s Backyard Burger and all the way down the freeway to the Monster Burger, whose name says it all.
With an executive chef also imported fresh from the US (air-conditioned, not frozen), all of Smokey BBQ’s branches – there are two in Singapore – are certified authentic. The decor at Smokey’s BBQ South Buona Vista branch, in the eatery enclave off South Buona Vista Road, is all A-grade Americana to match its American cuisine, with indoor and outdoor seating. The happy hours are long – 3pm-7pm, which means you can enjoy the range of US craft beers, or an alcohol-free, real-fruit, Mexican Jarritos soda, at your leisure. Smokey’s BBQ is all about slow food, long afternoons, and speedy service. Stop by the restaurant on South Buono Vista Road for a superlative American meal in the heart of Singapore’s Buono Vista.
It was the most tender barbecue I've had. The house salad was fresh, delicious and the blue cheese dressing divine. The staff was friendly and efficient. We will go back!
Great fun lovely hosts very attentive and good value....Couldn't have asked for better... Love Smokey Joe and all at South Buoba Vista.... Nice one!! Thank you
great food and nice ambience, though not exactly the most accessible of restaurants. relatively easy to find if you have a map. staff were very attentive too
Always torn between steak or ribs when I go to Smokey's as they're all good. Tonight's Porterhouse steak was excellent as ever. Will be returning for more soon!
It was rather busy when we went there on Valentine's, so the service wasn't great. That being said, the food was excellent. The brisket was probably the best dish, it was so tender and flavorful, I highly recommend it.
I never knew the humble fries could taste so good. We loved the ribs as well and will try a steak the next time we visit. Location was wonderful as well.
The St Louis Spare Ribs was a bit dry, unlike the previous time that we had few months back (at sunset way). Otherwise overall was great, with our other orders Grilled Salmon Fillet, Ribeye Steak and Mozzarella Sticks. The sauce for the sticks was good.
It was esther empty on a Friday night but the ambience was nice and the service by our waiter was fantastic. Food was great. We ordered the beef brisket and chicken breasts. Both were fantastic!
Good atmosphere outside. Nothing very inspiring on the menu. I ordered breaded mushrooms and my husband the ribs, which were huge so I didn't need to order a main. Breaded mushrooms were very dry but the ribs were tender. I was over charged for a sparkling water but when I realised, the bill was adjusted.
The ambience was great! Not much walking needed after parking my car. The food was nice and it was especially kids-friendly. I will come back again.
