Combining chic, modern decor with some traditional touches, Six30 Bar & Bistro retains the building’s old world charm, tucked away in Ainsdale. Whether its for a casual lunch or to celebrate a special occasion with an evening meal, this Southport joint has menus to suit all occasions. At Six30 Bar and Bistro you could share some small tapas-style plates over a bottle of wine, feast on some casual bistro classics like the beer-battered fish and chips and pie of the day, or indulge in an exquisite three-course meal.
We recommend going for the pan-fried king scallops and pork belly with bramley apple, pork scratchings and leek purée, followed by some chargrilled fillet of beef with braised ox cheek, sarladaise potato, roasted baby vegetables, sprouts and burnt onion purée! Located on Liverpool Road in Southport’s Ainsdale, between Formby and Birkdale, Six30 Bar and Bistro is a popular choice, whether its for lunch, dinner or drinks. Avoid disappointment by booking a table beforehand!
First time we visited and were very pleasantly surprised.Good food and a very well designed and presented restaurant.will certainly come again .Booking again shortly with friends
We had a super lunch..hot salmon. Excellent service. Food was lovely. Freshly cooked chips too followed by delicious ice cream. Very comfortable lounge/ bar area.
Excellent service, the staff were really friendly, very modern with a real homely feeling, great outdoor area and the food is really good, will definitely go back 😋
Food was awdome. Try the stuffed Sea bass. Service very good. New kitchen staff has made a big difference. If youve been put off before try again
The Bistro 630 was lovely enjoyable experience. From the greeting through to the service from all the staff. The staff could not do enough to assist us ( Considering we had arrived late and the number of seating arrangements had to amended due to a couple of cancellations within our party). The food was a credit to this little Bistro Fantastic Choices available we all had an amazing night. 630 is a little gem within a small little sleepy Village. Would recommend you try it for yourself. :-). D
A bit out of the way but that doesn't detract from the great food, great service an good value for money that this place offers. It's been a while since I've tasted good as good as this and the presentation was immaculate- I'm giving this place a solid 9.5/10 - only because there should always be room for improvement, although I'm not quite sure how they could improve! Actually, the only downside is the location - unless you're looking for this place, you probably wouldn't notice it.
It was OK. Six30 has potential to be good, but was dissapointing. Menu looked like a cheap print out. The wine was a cheap product at a premium price. I wouldn't buy one of these from a supermarket / shop. The starter, tuna, was a let down. Tasted like tinned tuna in a coating. Chateaubriand was ok. Tasted like it had come straight out of the fridge rather than allowed to stand at room temperature. Background music was on repeat, so a 2 hour sitting had songs played 5 times. Only positive is the restaurant looks nice. Overall, the restaurant was very empty, I suspect the feedback is common. Could be so much better, and until it is I won't be going back or recommending.
This bistro had a great selection of tapas and complimentary beverages (which were quite unique to the area and a refreshing change to the norm). We found the service very friendly and extremely fast. We would definitely go back again and are planning to try the lunch menu over summer.
We were met with friendly courtesy from the moment we walked in, coats taken and hung up - a simple service but not often received in many restaurants. Interesting and varied menu and our choices were delicious, excellent flavours and perfect sized portions. Attentive, polite waiting staff and prompt service
Amazing good quality food and very good service. We had a drink on arrival in the bar and then taken thought to the restaurant. The menu changes each week depending what is in season so you can never get bored of the menu
We had tapas. The choice was made for us under the special offer. Out of 6 dishes there were four carbohydrate ones. The food was nicely served. The waitresses were unskilled and couldn't pronounce the names of the food or wine. The chef looked to be doing an excellent job with the regular menu. Decor lovely. Wine prices average.
Great atmosphere, good food, good service and good value for money. Like all places there is always room for improvement but in this case that would just be being picky. Will be going back :-)
We took friends here for a birthday celebration, It was the first time but i suspect it wont be the last. There was a good choice on the menu and the food was excellent.
Fabulous restaurant with wonderful food and service and very good value for the quality of food you are served. Would recommend this restaurant anytime and have been many times always had lovely food.
We had the tapas which was really good and the fondue was lovely it was all presented beautifully. The restaurant is very nicely set out and the staff are very friendly and helpful will deffinatly return .
Great service, great food we had the chateaubriand, fondue and cheesecake. And great wine!! Will cater for coeliac's and make sure you know exactly what is in your food. 👍👍
Lovely restaurant with a really nice atmosphere and great food. The service was very good and so were the portion sizes. We will be booking another meal here very soon.
Lovely restaurant with a nice friendly atmosphere. Great food, great service and a great time. Very good value for money. Thank you a fantastic afternoon.
We had a lovely time. The decor is very nice and we had a very obliging waiter, very helpful. Great food, will definitely go back.
Very pleasant evening, good service, food and value. We've always liked this place since it first opened but for some reason havn't been back very often .......we must change that.
Friendly comfortable relaxing good service looking forward to going back especially for lunch in lovely rear garden in summer good for all ages unusual menu and food served hot
The bar had had a face lift and was very nice. The tapas was a little disappointing but the bar staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would defiantly go back even if just for a drink.
We were disappointed with our meal as since the first chef left, who was excellent & the food superb Bistro 6.30 menu has changed & become more like Pub food. Perhaps this is what other people prefer. The venue is lovely & everything immaculate. The service was very good too despite there being only two serving in the restaurant. It was also relatively quiet for a Friday evening. Disappoined diner
Lovely food, great atmosphere. Although it was a busy night, the kitchen coped well. Portion size of tapas perhaps a bit on the small side seen the price.
Lovely restaurant with pleasant staff. I thought the food (tapas) was excellent. My only negative is the price for a glass of wine is a bit expensive.
Food lovely.female fob staff little inexperienced, i.e. had to ask for wine menu Good timings in between courses, nice atmosphere in the venue. Would definitely go again
Lovely place with a nice atmosphere & tasty food. We went over Easter bank hoilday which was quieter than usual but it didn't affect our enjoyment.
Relaxed, friendly atmosphere and good service. Food was delicious although probably wouldn't have been enough for my husband! An informal evening with a girlfriend though, perfect!
Really nice food, good ambience and helpful service. Moroccan lamb is really nice and the cheesecake to follow was excellent too, will definitely return SOON
Nice tapas and friendly service; good value for money. Quite a limited main menu but good enough to tempt us back for a return visit.
