It sure ain’t too hard to find Thai mookata in Singapore these days, but that wasn’t the case even just a few years ago when Siam Square Mookata first opened up on Havelock Road. Since then, hundreds of spots have jumped on the mookata bandwagon, but the latest outpost of Siam Square Mookata in Clementi proves again that they remain one of the city’s most authentic and tastiest exponents. Siam Square Mookata on Clementi Road give this celebrated Thai barbecue steamboat-cum-social phenomenon the respect it deserves, lovingly preparing marinades and rich broths in-house daily and serving only ingredients that have been sourced and prepared each and every day. The mookata broth is much more complex and flavoursome than the norm (their secret recipe chilli sauce has a cult following) and there are no soggy, ambiguous floaters that appear elsewhere. For proper, pleasing, sociable and affordable mookata, this is the real deal.
Tom yup base is great, but I will not advise it for those with low tolerance for saltiness. Marinated meat was also really good, as well as the fu zhou balls. Will definitely come back! Staff was really friendly too!
I've tried before a few Siam square mookata and this is definitely one of the best! Friendly service and food all very fresh especially seafood. Meat also well marinated. Will be back!
Located in a coffee shop, was windy and well ventilated. Service staff was friendly, service was prompt. Food was delicious and affordable. Will definitely return again.
