Good food and great ambience. but puny portions with expensive price tags. you will need to order quite a few portions per person. average 40 per pax.

Enjoyed myself. The service staff were friendly and were able to give good recommendations. Quality of food is good. Salads were my favorite. Sake is great.

One of my fav izakayas in town. There is a great selection of sake and side dishes. Must try the skewers and potato with mentai!

If it can be less rowdy and space constraint then expected, not suitable for nice chitchatting session with groups. Service is acceptable, as we couldn't expect prompt service when needed on a crowded Friday with full house guests. Food is acceptable with wide variety of choices and sake of the week is awesome.

Potions are extra small and the taste was not really good except the beef skewer but "2 gramms" of beef for 10sgd that's robbery. Won't be coming again

Quality of food was good but portion was a tad small. Although each dish was affordably priced, you need to order quite a few dishes in order to fill you up. Sake was good but again not exactly cheap. However, would return again as every single dish (crab gratin, yuzu beef, skewers, minidon) we ordered was well-prepared and absolutely delicious !

Been here a couple of times now, and the food standard has always remained consistent. Service was prompt, and the food is served fairly quickly as well. I enjoyed the overall ambience, and this restaurant is perfect for a night of winding down.

Honestly, the skewers were not really the yummiest or juiciest. Definitely quite pricey at $30/pax (only one serving of alcohol). But service was good, and ambience was cosy. I guess it's good for a celebratory type gathering. :)

Recommended to reserve seats in advance as the place is packed on a Friday night. Strongly recommended for a good place to chill and have a few drinks with co-workers. Great selection of snacks and small mains for sharing. Friendly and attentive staff.

Amazing food and sake! Thanks to the chefs for an extremely wonderful meal! Ambience was really nice but it got a little too smokey later in the night. Otherwise it would have been perfect.

Went with a friend for dinner and booked a reservation. We did a set menu meal which was 40$/pax. It was a great way to introduce ourselves to what Shukuu had to offer. Great service and great food. It's all you can ask for. Also - sake choice was amazing. I will definitely go back.

Good selection of sake, and staff were knowledgeable and gave good recommendations. Kushiyaki was decent, but did not come with the smokiness found in some other kushiyaki restaurants.

Really enjoyed the skewers at Skukuu! We had the wagyu, pork cheek, chicken thigh, bacon and leek and chicken heart which was memorable. We also had a go with some sides including the beef tongue, crispy chicken skin, liver, which were ok. Was just slightly upset that the udon came furnished only with an over cooked hard boiled egg and scallions, broth resembling Vietnamese pho. Perhaps we should try out other sides next time. Loved the skewers tho! Service was also extremely attentive.

Fantastic experience! Hubby and I both agreed we will revisit in a heartbeat! Food was fantastic and drinks were lovely. Only gripe I had was the kani miso but I guess that is an acquired taste.. :) nonetheless it didn’t change my impression. Great place for a night out without drama!

One of my regular izakayas that will not disappoint. Cheap beer and very good food. The mentaiko rosti and the b b q squid are good bets.

Excellent place to satisfy your mentaiko cravings with at least 5 dishes on the menu containing mentaiko. Servings seem slightly small but every dish was consistently good. The beef tendon was very well done, although reminded me more of the Chinese style of cooking tendon. Had two servings of mentaiko rosti between two people which was quite filling. The mentaiko sardines contained a generous portion of mentaiko. Overall, slightly pricey for the serving size but excellent food and would recommend if you’re willing to spend.
