Known by Singaporeans as quite the happening spot, Jurong East is certainly one of the more popular districts in the city-state, not least because it’s where you’ll find Shu Jiang Grilled Fish, a charming restaurant within the IMM Building, just along Jurong East Street. Make the trip and taste the freshest fish and seafood available, grilled, of course, along with the finest ingredients.
Foodies in Singapore will certainly never struggle to find delicious eats and varied cuisine in Jurong East. Along Jurong East Street in particular there are three malls located within walking distance of each other, inside which you’ll find cuisine ranging from American to Korean. You name it, you’ll find it. But Shu Jiang Grilled Fish stands out from the crowd by offering Asian-fusion flavours and some of the freshest seafood in the city-state.
You can find Shu Jiang Grilled Fish hiding away inside the IMM Building where you’ll be met by luxurious decor reminiscent of a wooden submarine – sophisticated, cosy and serving dishes to rival the best in Singapore. All are prepared with skill and finesse, but the barramundi, sea bass or red snapper are options that win. This Jurong East hotspot is popular so avoid disappointment and reserve a table now.
Good service and food was nice, extra personal touch in the service for the birthday we brought in. Highly recommended! Will definately visit the place again
The food is great and i agree with previous reviews that it is much cheaper if you dine in large groups. Overall, we spent like $26 per pax for our lunch. On top of it, the staff is friendly and provides excellent service.
Attentive staff giving food suggestions. Grilled fish is a must try. Overall it is very affordable and value for money. Will definitely visit again in near future.
The restaurant is having anniversary promotion, went there to celebrate early birthday. Staff is fast and attentive. The fish is fresh and the taohu is special. Nice ambience and experience.
I made reservation prior as there's always a long queue during peak hours. I'm glad I did. Service was fast and food served promptly. The 600g grilled fish portion was considered generous for 2 person. I enjoyed the fish and it's spicy soup very much and also the fried brinjal side dish which is new to me. The restaurant has this free foodtry at the entrance which is good.. just that the shoutout to pssserbys and those on queue seems a bit noisy and amusing while I'm having my meal next to the staff
Service was good this time. Servers were attentive and could feel their effort in trying to make the customer experience better. However, we were still only informed of the current promotion during our order, when we happened to order the promotional item. I think it would benefit the customers better if they could be informed of all the promotions in the form of printed menu BEFORE an order is made so that they can make better decisions.
Great atmosphere and food was really good although on the pricey side. Customer service was great staffs were attentive. One of the dish I had have a strand of hair in it (not sure which body part of hair it was from ). Manager on duty apologized and without question quickly changed a new one for me and offered a compliment desert. I am sure this was just a one off incident and it was handled professionally. Will highly recommend this restaurant to everyone else.
My parents were pleased with the dishes. However, there was a promotion for set menu which would have suited us perfectly and we were not informed of the promotion until after we have placed the order. We were rushed to place an order while standing outside the restaurant. Although we understand that this is to speed up the process and will get us our dinner earlier, it caused unnecessary stress as the waitress was pretty and pushy trying to get us to order and maintain the line at the same time. Note that i do have a reservation made before going down.
Food was bland compared to my other visits previously, probably due to the packed dinner crowd. Waitress did not inform us of existing promotion. Placed our order before we saw the promotion menu. Another waitress served up a side dish that we thought was complimentary snacks but turned out that she delivered to the wrong table. Although she apologised and offered to take the dish back, she said that she would have to pay for the dish if we wanted her to take it back. We had no choice but to pay for her mistake.
Its the 2nd time we go back to Shu Jiang grilled fish and Quandoo had made the reservation process a breeze. The grilled fish is a superstar in the restaurant and I must say it does not disappoint. The place is usually quite crowded so its advisable to reserve in advance.
