About Shahbaaz Tandoori
There are great curry houses to be found the length and breadth of the UK, and even right up at the top of Scotland, they aren’t missing out on the action. Shahbaaz Tandoori on Rose Street in the centre of Aberdeen bring the very best in Indian and Pakistani cooking to the Grampian regions. There are all the trappings of the very finest Indian restaurants: tandoori favourites such as chicken and lamb tikka, seekh kebabs and lamb chops, classic curries that run from balti and biryani to rogan josh and korma, and a huge range of chef’s specials that you can only find at Shahbaaz. Go for the Nentara, marinated and slow-cooked spring chicken with spices, or the Masaledar, with meat from the tandoor and a tangy sauce, or even the house signature of Shahbaaz Reshami Masala, a patia-style curry with cream, sultanas, cashews and almonds, as well as lychees and mango on request. Take a trip to Shahbaaz Tandoori on Rose Street and book a table for one of the best Indian restaurants in Aberdeen.

We enjoyed Murgh Samundri (mild chicken), King Prawn Dil Bahar (sweet and sour) and Chicken Turka (hot chicken). All delicious. Great service and an After Eight to finish.
Great food best meal out in a long time good service nothing a problem for the staff well be going back very soon 👍👍👍 thanks to all the staff
So good that we have become accustomed to laughing off the abject indifference of the staff. £400 bill and still not a thank you in sight, which, given that we have been booking for between 10-20 seats on new year's day, every year for the past 14, remains a mystery. We don't care, though. The food is simply outstanding. The chicken Qandari is the best curry from anywhere I've ever had.
First time we have eaten at Shahbaaz having tried several other Indian restaurants in Aberdeen. Don't know why we waited so long to try as this was the best Indian food we have had matched by first class service.
The company I was with was great, so no issue there. The whole experience was all wrong. Yes we were a bit late arriving but the look of disgust from the "welcoming committee" really set the scene for one of the worst Indian meals and restaurants I have even been to (and that has been a lot). I was told that the Shahbaaz Tandoori was one of the best in Aberdeen. Not being local to Aberdeen I took the advice and made a reservation. If this is the best that Aberdeen has to offer then, Aberdeen you are being well ripped off. The food was poor, the lamb I had was tough as old boots, the rice was cold and the sauce, if it was not for the salt and pepper I added there would have been no flavour. During the "meal" we were asked four times if we wanted more drinks. It was the third waiter who asked that actually did something about it and bring us the drinks we asked for each time. The Shahbaaz Tandoori has one unique experience. Time travel. Go to the toilet and you are immediately in the 1960's. If I am ever again in Aberdeen I shall stick with the tried and tested and Amarone will be the eating place of choice.
Been going to the Shahbaaz for many years now as it's one of my favourite restaurants. It's been the same staff there for years, service is excellent and food amazing. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great food and very good service! Table was ready for us when we arrived and we were seated quickly. Poppadum's arrived quickly with the drinks and menus. A very pleasant experience.
In my wife and my two guests opinion this was once again a great food experience. We would all highly recommend it. Great service, great food in a relaxed atmosphere.
Best Indian Restaurant in Aberdeen! Great food, attentive staff and a great atmosphere. Its was too long since my last visit but it won't be long before my next.
The service was good as was the ambiance. The food as usual is of a good standard and I will certainly be returning in the not too distant future.
