Hi I went with my family to Samy's curry for my son's birthday. Although taking into consideration the current COVID 19 situation, they did their very best to make their customers happy. The food was good as usual.

My second visit. Taste is good, no air-con but good local mood in cozy Dempsy hill. Price is SGD140 by 5 ppl , including a couple of bottled beer. Staff is quick and good as well. We will visit again.

This was my second visit and my friends ordered items that I didn’t try during my first visit. I especially liked the fried cauliflower (forgot the name) and the fish head curry was excellent. The restaurant was very noisy with lunch time office workers but overall, seeing how customers at adjacent tables woofed down their food made ours more appetizing. Our only major complaint was that the tea was too weak. I’m sure that can be easily improved.

Food was good. Can't say the same for their banana leaves. It was served wet and when wipe with tissue paper to keep it dry, the paper turned black. Horrendous 😟

Food is always great. Can't go wrong with Mysore mutton, Chicken Tikka, Fish cutlets, and biriyani rice. The service, although not very prompt, is all part of the experience.

Took a big group of visiting foreigners to show off Samy’s. Great food and banana leaf experience, but terrible service. They can’t cope when the crowd comes in. You feel like you’re such a bother. What a pity.
