Roots Kitchen and Bar is a delightful dining experience. Soothing ambience, attentive and cheerful waiting service and gorgeously scrumptious Italian delights. Had a party of 14 and it truly did not disappoint! 10/10 will go there again for my birthday party next year :p

Awesome place! Staff were really helpful and most of all the food was very good. All the guests found that there was very good value for money here. Also, the decor is gorgeous. A real gem that you wouldn't imagine on Little India's bustling Dickson Road.

Decent quality, but there were too little choices. Food took pretty long to come but the egg and mousseline topped with caviar was a must try!! Skip the crab pasta if you'd like, it gets a little sick if you're eating it alone.

The restaurant's ambience was rustic and cosy. For starters, I had the egg & truffle mousseline and for mains, the Nagano pork rack. Both dishes were pretty delish, although the pork was a tad bit too salty for my liking.

We like the ambience and rustic interior. The food presentation is fabulous in colours and portion. Chef has made effort to create palatable menus but could be warmer.

The food was pleasant, and the ambience was chic, modern and casual. They also had great service with friendly hosts, and the drinks selection was not bad!

Thanks to the entertainer app, I managed to enjoy 2 main courses at the price of 1! Ordered the eggs benedict & caviar and mushroom porcini rice (mushroom risotto) to share with my dining partner. The risotto was rich and flavourful, with a generous portion of mushrooms, with a grainy texture. The eggs benedict fared medicore IMO, though the poached egg won hands down with a super flowy, soft and fragile yolk. The creamy hollandaise sauce was also thick, rich and flavourful. Waffles was crispy but I would have preferred a more fluffy, dense and cake-like interior instead of a hollow and light one. Service was friendly and attentive, with the constant refill of water.

Have some difficulty in locating it when we visited it for the first time. When arrived, we were greeted by friendly crew and they showed us to our the reseved table. Food wise, there is still room for improvement. We ordered 3 main dishes & Sea Bass was the best. Followed by the Crab Spaghetti. Last in the list was London Boiled... was kind of disappointed. Maybe the expectation was too high.

The ocean crab pasta was a pure winner! It has been a while since I have tasted pasta that good and despite the carbs, I've almost wanted to have another round of it! Service was great and the other dishes - the pork rack and citron and passion were excellent for a Friday night out. A surprise winner was the salad of smoked duck and mango and cherry - a refreshing start to the evening. 1 bummer was the Draft beer as it has an odd aftertaste. Not sure if that is the intended taste but it din go well with the taste buds. I will go for the non-alcoholic stuff next time :)

Food was excellent. Started with the mushroom soup. It was hot and very tasty. The rack of pork was delicious. Wife and daughter had crab pasta, also delicious (daughter couldn't finish hers). Ended with the bread pudding. Service was also excellent. I highly recommend this place.

Loved the pork rack and ocean crab pasta especially. The set meal was especially value-for-money given the spread and choice. Lovely ambience, sumptuous food, awesome prices, quality service. Can't wait to go back!

Nice cozy restaurant, warm service and good food. We had the crab pasta and a bottle of their Pinot noir and then sat outside till after closing. Instead of kicking us out they left us a fresh bottle of cold water and told us to stay as long as we liked! Would definitely come again.

The location of the restaurant was alright. Just a short walk from either the bus stop off the main road or the Rochor MRT station. The food review was mixed. While the starters such as the absolut cured salmon and the mushroom soup were good, the mains weren't nearly as good. The sea bass was extremely salty and the nagano pork tasted like frozen meat. In the end we only ate half of the mains. Also, it was lunch time and there was no other customers in the restaurant.

Great location, very friendly stuff. Very very delicious food. I had the truffle egg and the egg Benedict on waffles. Highly recommended!! However, it took a long time for food to be served and each order came on a different time so we couldn't eat at the same time.

Husband and I were there with our toddler for dinner. Loved how kid-friendly it was; staff were great with our daughter and offered to top up her sippy cup. Food was also very good and well-priced - we had the loaded sweet potato fries, mushroom rice and London broil. Will definitely return!

Relatively value for money with a nice ambience but food wise, could be slightly better. Didn't get the hype over the Caviar Mousseline or maybe I can't appreciate it. Mushroom soup was good though.

The service was really great! They offered to whip up the seasonal roots risotto specially for me even though it was not on the menu! N the constant refill of water and tending to our needs, feedback enquiry on how's the food. Thumbs up for the awesome service. Also love the Cosy ambience and many thanks to the staff who gladly on the lights for me to get good lightning for my food photos! :) Food was great, especially the risotto and sweet potato fries! A return trip? Why not!
