For a traditional Japanese dining experience in Singapore, Restaurant Hishigaoka is the place to go, with its authentic Japanese cuisine and serene atmosphere making it a favourite among Singaporeans since the first branch opened at the Apollo Hotel in 1972. From sushi and sashimi to teppanyaki, salads, soups, noodles and rice dishes, you’ll find an array of Japanese traditions all under the one roof at Restaurant Hishigaoka. Some of our favourite dishes include the tempura moriawase (an assortment of prawn, fish and vegetable tempura), the gyu nikomi (stewed beef and vegetables in miso) and the tonkotsu ramen. Located inside The Grandstand on Turf Club Road, Restaurant Hishigaoka is a popular choice for both lunch and dinner in Bukit Timah. Book a table now!
My family enjoyed eating here overall - the sukiyaki hotpot and regular tempura were excellent, though the special autumn tempura set was a little disappointing. Service is also pretty good, though the restaurant can be noisy if the other customers are loud!
We had dinner here on a Saturday evening. Service was prompt and good and there were many choices to choose from the reasonably priced menu. We will come back!
Nice restaurant for casual outing, Food is average, Ambience is nice and cozy, Service is fairly good, Would visit again, Overall a very good experience.
Service is good but food is just average. It will be good if they can improve on the quality of food especially the sushi with raw food.
