Restaurant has nice cozy ambience. Good variety is not large but sufficient. We ordered the salmon and steak main course in addition to calamari. All were tasty but a tad too salty for our liking.

Nice cozy wine place which serve good food & good wines. Gerald the sommelier there was patient in selecting and recommending wines to us based on our preference. His vast knowledge on wines had made the evening not only a wonderful dining experience but also a good learning experience. I would definitely recommend this place to those who want to learn more about wines and taste good wines by the glass at reasonable prices!

Food took abit of time to serve though it wasn't that crowded in the restaurant, but main & side courses was not bad after all.

The service is great. Staff is friendly. However I find the main course price a bit expensive. The next table ordered a pizza and that looks interesting. If I ever go back I will certainly try that.

Ordered an appetizer, two mains, a dessert and two drinks. Our appetizer was served to the table next to ours before the customers commented they didnt order that particular dish. It was then sent to our table. After a long wait, my pork ribs came, without the garlic mash i ordered. Beef cheeks arrived but actually we ordered steak. Our steak order was sent to us a while later. After the mains,we asked for dessert to be served. Thought it was strange to be given a clean set of fork and knife for a creme brulee. I joked that maybe they will serve us the wrong dessert, perhaps key lime pie as that was probably the harder texture dessert that requires knife. True enough, waitress came with key lime pie. We alerted them about the wrong dessert served and they decided to give us the key lime pie complimentary,on top of the creme brulee which will be served. When bill came, credit card for palate dining was given but was not automatically 50% off. We informed the waiter and problem was rectified. I enjoyed the complimentary bread, calamari as well as the recommended drink (i like sweet alcohol). Complimentary dish was a nice way of saving the day but I wish there werent so many cockups.

Gerald as usual is a great help to select an excellent wine to accompany the delicious meal. The salmon-en-croute is really a must-have. Try also the chocolate cake for dessert.

The food was only OK but the wine that we were recommended was incredible. One of the staff (tall Indian man that night) wasn't very helpful. I tried calling him several times and he only responded when a smaller female waitress came to us. The smaller waitress was also very confused about things when we asked her about the T&Cs for the Entertainer App promotion with Praleum. We only received great service from the Chinese man with dyed blonde hair who had recommended our wine.

Great wines and extremely knowledgable staff. Located in the nice Duxton hill area with a laid back atmosphere. Food is ok, but we go here for the great wines!

This was our first visit and it was wonderful experience, thanks to the outstanding service of Gerald. He is thoroughly familiar with the menu items and recommends in great details. We had Salmon-En-Croute and Grilled Chipotle Chicken - delicious. Gerald Lu, National Sommelier Champion 2010, is indeed the main man you’ll want to seek out for recommendations. We had red and wine, absolutely great. Looking forward to coming back.

great experience in a place full of positive vibe. Besides the service (never seen so many nice staff in the same place), the food was very nice (try the salmon! really unique) and the list of wines never ends. Amazing place, well done guys!

Hi, we really enjoyed our time in Praelum, The staff was patient and introduced us several great wines, and the food selection is excellent. We had the pork parcels , baby back ribs and most importantly our favourite was the baked brie. It went very well with our medium bodied red Rioja. We would def go back again! Thanks for showing us a great time!

Nice place and very kind staff! I highly recommend this bistro also because of the location and the wide selections of wines. Food is fine as well though the menu is a bit too limited

Great service but standard of food seemed to have drop since the last I visited in June. Still a pleasant experience nonetheless. Was offered a complimentary Prosecco as it was my birthday.

A bit disappointed by my last visit at Praelum. they didn't have the wine we wanted and only had more expensive ones to suggest, main courses all came at different times (there were 6 of us), and side dishes arrived late, once everyone had finished their food. some main dishes (such as lamb ribs) are very small for the price tag. the manager saw we were disappointed by the dishes arriving at different time and too late and nicely gave us free deserts (good commercial gesture that you rarely see in Singapore). overall experience: food is pretty good and place is chilled, but a bit pricey for some dishes and service can be improved.

An unforgettable evening being educated in some incredible wines. A nice casual environment where we sat at the bar and had two random flights of 5, being taught by a talented somm about the stories behind each wine and the pairings that would go with it. I would recommend this to anyone curious or passionate about wine!

Our table was near the entrance (with a door permanently opened) so it's like sitting in the smoking zone. The place was packed so we can't shift to a table further inside the restaurant. The food was pretty decent but after serving us some nice bread, the next course (scallops) came about an hour later. It took nearly 3 hours to wait and finish our soup, scallops, main course and dessert, all the while with cigarette smoke filtering in. The promised candle on the dessert (we were celebrating a birthday) didn't materialise either. However, they were nice to give us the dessert on the house. I suppose we've chosen a wrong place to celebrate as it's basically a watering hole.

Service was friendly n good. My friend and I enjoyed d escargot although it was a bit salty for my taste. D striploin was tasty and we enjoyed the salmon the most. It was wrapped in crispy pastry like a pie. The salmon was moist and tasty. Wide range of wines and free tasting before ordering. We liked that!

Gerald was a gracious host with great wine knowledge. I thoroughly enjoyed the Chianti Classico Riserva (Il Molino di Grace) he had recommended. Food here is really tasty - had the baked escargot and the Tarte flambée. Definitely would be back!
