Established all the way back in 1979, Pinocchio has established itself as a favourite among Bournemouth’s aficionados of Italian cuisine, the go-to place of many locals when looking to indulge in authentic pizza, pasta and other rustic Italian favorites. With its cosy and traditional ambience, Pinocchio provides the perfect setting for a family meal or celebrating a special occasion. Start off with some appetisers like the avocado prawns or a selection of cured Italian meats, before moving on to the homemade lasagne, some market-fresh seafood like the fillets of lemon sole pan-fried in lemon, butter and parsley, or another Italian classic like the vitello alla giotto (veal cooked in mushrooms, onions, cream and white wine). Great atmosphere and lovely food. We will always return as it is a hit with the whole family. It has a good menu and it is fairly priced too.
Always great food and great service. A proper old school Italian - one of only a few independent Italian restaurants left in Bournemouth. Highly recommended.
A very pleasant evening with good food, attentive service and a reasonable price. The ambience is very good and next time we are in Bournemouth we will certainly be returning.
Arrived ten minutes early for booking .they seated us straightaway reserved a bottle of proseco which was very nice for daughters birthday great service and didn't wait to long for the food will definitely go there again. Great night.
This is a traditional Italian restaurant serving all the old favourites. Its still just as it was in the 80s, which some people might hate, but we love as it has a lot of memories for us. The food is always tasty and the staff friendly although last night we did quite a bit of waiting which got irritating towards the end when we wanted to get away. But all in all I love Pinocchio's would recommend it, and we'll certainly be going back!
Just amazing atmosphere, food and staff brilliant .. my partner and myself had the avocado and prawns to start .pasta and pizza and bottle of red wine.all very tasty £52.00. Left there very happy ..great place will defo return again when In area ..thank you Pinocchio top restaurant
this is our second visit to Pinocchios, the ambience and volume of music is perfect. It is an intimate restaurant that fills up very quickly so you will need to book a table. Portions are fantastic and value for money. The lasagne is amazing. Bathrooms are quite cold as you have to pass an open door upstairs. I am unsure is there are bathrooms on the ground floor so may be unsuitable for people who are unable to walk up/down stairs. We will be returning here again in the future.
Really enjoyable experience and we had a lovely meal to celebrate my 50th birthday. I have always wanted to visit as I collect anything to do with Pinocchio. Well worth a visit and we will certainly be returning
Excellent food, excellent service. A very pleasant evening , we were a group of 7 and not one of us were left disappointed. If your in Bournemouth on holiday, well worth spending an evening in Pinocchios .
Brilliant food brilliant service atmosphere was very nice prices were reasonable and our waitress was happy and perky that really set the mood, very attentive to the customers needs despite us being outside when came to the end of the meal (what I assume to be manager) was ready to hand the bill and we paid promptly, change took a while but that was the only thing I could fault them on. Overall brilliant meal and I would recommend to anyone
