Orchid Roast Fish

We made reservation without much hurdle. Staff were polite and their service was fast and good. Food wise above average, except can bring in own water bottles. Overall - above average.

Very convenient location and great value for money. The fish tasted fresh and there is a considerable selection of sides. We tried 5 flavours out of 9!

The service is good and they serve very fast. Staff are attentive. Free flow of fish and flavour. Side ingredients portions are generous and a lot of choices to choose.

The service and food were great, feeling satisfied. White rice, the best to go with the soup base, however was a disappointment as the grains were of low quality.

Worth the meal and value for price!! But do remember to be prepared for numbness if u order mala bcos its numb as heck but spice wise its not as spicy

Cheap buffet. Crowded in the evenings. Orders sometimes quite slow. Good for friends gatherings.

Food was nice, but ala care fresh fish would be better. Soup base were not that hot and spicy, suitable for those who wish to try.

Impromptu dinner passing by. Staff assumed we were going for buffet, but it's not. Food was served slow, fish was average. Not sure if they served us the items meant for buffet...we ordered the more expensive fresh instead of frozen fish.

Went back after weeks, buffet was quite popular and attracted crowds. Orders were slower and forgotten. Best to avoid late evening peak periods.

Staff was friendly and responsive, food served within 15mins. Not crowded and environment was cosy.

The food and service is good. Just that the booth seating is a bit cramped for larger groups. We have 5 pax and it’s rather tight

Clamped space. They don't have big tables for bigger groups of 6 and made their guest sit on uncomfortable plastic chairs. Food was overdosed with MSG and spices. Terrible dining experience

Good food and reasonably priced. A bit cramp on the seating. You will come out smelling a bit like the spicy mala after your meal.

Place is cramped and stuffy. Food is served extremely slow after 2nd order. With the 2hr time limit it is impossible to try all the 9 flavours of the fish. Fish is fresh but not the side dishes like the octopus and lobster balls and baby octopus. We didn't eat the items that are not fresh and staff wanted to charge us wastage fee!! I felt sick and nausea towards the end of my dinner and vomitted. Will NEVER go back again!

THe food serving was slow on our second fish. Took close to 20 plus mins to arrive. Smell like grilled fish with spices when we left.

Food was nice especially the roast fish. Tried the special non-spicysauce as well as the first grade spicy sauce. Many side dishes to choose from as well. Just that I find their drink is priced quite expensive.

Option was buffet. Food is a little above average. Definitely value for money. Side dish portions are generous. One downside is that drinks (even water) is not included in buffet.

The trip was made because of the 3D projection but was disappointed as it wasn’t activated yesterday when we went there. Food was average. Reasonable pricing

Helpful service staff went through the menu with us as it is our first visit. There’s a wide variety of food from the buffet menu to choose from, and food served were fresh! Great experience!

First fish was not bad but the second ones was badly burnt and tasted burnt. Service staff does not seem to be able to hear or perhaps pretended not to hearwhenever we wanted their assistance. But overall still generally acceptable for the price we paid.

Food was so so, servers seemed unhappy to serve us. The food we ordered came in batches that were too Long apart. Only some food came first and we waited quite awhile for the rest of the food to be served. Reminded them a few times and ultimately not all food were served. Had to reorder and by the time the food arrived we were already quite full and nearing the end of the meal, the servers told us that they were going to charge for wastage. We understand that if too much food was wasted, we need to be charged. However what we had on the table was not a lot. Drinks are not included in the buffet and 1 pitcher which only can fill 1.5 small cup for a table of 4 costs $8+. Would never go back again

Went with my family for a total of 7 person. They do not have long table that accommodates more than 6 person thus additional small table and chairs will be adddd. Food variety not too bad but the service is honestly disappointing. We ordered the meat dishes at 715pm and it only came after 815pm after countless times of asking. The staff did not respond promptly and gave an unhappy face. We understand that it’s the weekend, however, that should not be an excuse to provide such poor customer service. Would not return for such unpleasant service.

Service was not prompt despite there were not many customer at that time. Only 3tables were occupied. Service staff is friendly, however, forgetful. Manpower and attention of staff were a little lag off.

Service was bad: Orders wasn’t served despite us asking twice :( would recommend to place all orders during the first order (as we ordered second round & nothing was served) Side note: we ordered tea but it wasn’t served but was reflected in the bill. Ambience: pretty good I’ll say Food wise: I’ll give it a 4 if all our orders was served.

Tasty food unlimited free sea bass eat till you drop. We were very hungry as we are late for lunch but the food came very soon the moment we sat down like less than 15minutes. Attentive and courteous servers make dining even more pleasant.

went for their buffet dinner. The food was good, especially the dumplings. selection on the menu has good variety too. But my friends were slightly disappointed as the projectors were not on the day we went, so we didn't get to experience the 3D dinning which we saw on their advert video.

Food are good and nice. Service still okay. And the serving is enough. N fresh. I would recommend my friends to come and will defintely come back again.

The 4th fish will not be served until they starts to chase you out of their shop. Upset stomach for 4 days... Group of 5 of us have the same issue. Not food poisoning but just uncomfortable.

Services very slow as we order the foods especially when we wanted to order more fishes which unlimited. The staff there also unfriendly. My family will not visit again.

Messy. We went for buffet and they forgot 7 out of the 10items we ordered. I waited 30min for my first fish while the table behind me got it in 10min. But despite all the blunders, if u ask with a smile, the servers are all still very friendly and helpful. Taste wise, not too bad. Just don't expect CQGF that kind of standards. The meat was not too fresh either. After all, you are paying much lesser.

Roast fish is okay but we experienced poor and slow service from the staff. Half of the order was not delivered, some of the order delivered was only after repeated reminders

Buffet value for money, but the fish would be the frozen type. Service was good as staff are attentive. Great for simple friends gathering or family meal.

we dont even dare to order more cause it might take another 1hr 30minutes to come, and worst part it didnt even come everything that we order. please dont go here, not even 3D !!!

The food was fantastic and delicious. Also love their service. Extremely good service. Will definitely go back for more of their food one day again.

The restaurant offers buffet or a la cart. Price is wallet friendly but place is a bit squeezely. The highlight of the place free is supposely the 3D projection which give u a feel of underwater, winter etc. But end up quite disapointing. Go there for food instead of the ambience then you be ok.

The food is nice and worth to the money. Suitable for family gathering. The restaurant is easy to find just outside the China town MRT EXIT A

They claimed to have different types of fish however there was only one. A lot of items were not available as well. Portions were too huge for two.

Price is reasonable, wide variety of food selection. Beer promotion 1 for 1 is very worth it. Fish size was a bit too small though.

Fish was awesome and fresh , there are alot of choices. Would suggest not taking the buffet set if you are not a heavy eater with your group , Ala Carte would have cost less

The foods is ok, the environment is nice, the only disappointment on that night seems to be shortage of manpower, only 1 waitress serving few tables , regardless of repeated reminder, they still fail to serve us some of the side dishes that we have order. In the end we just settle the bill and left.

Abit expensive.. limited choice. However the environment play a huge part..

The spicy roast fish is better than the non spicy one. Adding on some roti tastes also good.
