Clarke Quay river view, buckets of refreshing beer or homemade Thai iced tea, good company and some even better Thai food – what more could you ask for in Singapore? Not a lot really, unless you want to get picky and ask specifically for some authentic, homemade Thai fish cakes, properly fragrant curries or an affordable price that doesn’t seem to match a prime Eu Tong Sen Street location? Well, Om Nom (Taste of Thai) provides for all of those things, too. One of the best value and most authentic Thai eateries around central Singapore, Om Nom is a safe bet for anybody looking for a satisfying meal, especially if you have a group or special occasion to celebrate – just remember, it’s common to have to wait for a table so do the wise thing and book one before you arrive!
They had a Christmas Set that cost $80 nett and consisted of any 7 items from the menu (except the curries). The food was authentic and delicious. I felt this deal was a great value for money. If I had ordered ala carte, the menu pricing is reasonably priced and affordable in the $$ range. Service staff Li Peng ( I think) was friendly and attentive and she sat us by the glass wall with a great view of the river. Will definitely pay this place another visit in future!
The food was good. Loved the side of chicken-seafood mix that came with the fried kang kong. Tom yum was pretty good too. Sea bass tasted fresh. Only disappointement was the pandan chicken which was really tough and tasted dry. Staff was nice enough to let us know that the mango was not that sweet and recommended other desserts.
Reservation is straightforward, smooth and easy. Food is good and waiting time is short. We got a view of the river and it was rather relaxing.
the food was alright, fine, and served fast. very short waiting time. the clear tom yum soup was not bad, but could be better. the ambience and location is good.
Gd service and food and it was a great dining experience. Well worth the money and good for gathering as the place is huge enough
