About Nalan Restaurant
Singapore is home to plenty of Indian restaurants, mostly centred on the Little Indian area around Racecourse Road and Serangoon Road, but down to the south of that region, on the edge of the Downtown Core near City Hall, there is a restaurant that is the envy of all of them. Nalan Restaurant on Stamford Road in the Capitol Piazza bring authentic tastes from both North and South India to the streets of Singapore, with an exclusively vegetarian menu that my skip the meat, but doesn’t for a second scrimp on flavour. Book a table and head on in with your pals for a quality Indian meal in Singapore.Go to Nalan Restaurant Page
Indian food comes in many forms, from the regal cuisines of the North to the fishy favourites along the Malabar Coast, with plenty more in between. The veggie dishes on offer in the Indian restaurants of Singapore are extensive, and the many differing religious and dietary demands on Indian people have lead to a huge variety of meat-free dishes available. You can try a fair whack of them if you make an appearance at Nalan Restaurant on Stamford Road in the Downtown Core, where they offer a range of Indian vegetarian dishes that is as good as any to be found in Singapore.
Let us talk you through a few of the favourites on offer at Nalan Restaurant on Stamford Road near the City Hall in the heart of the Downtown Core of Singapore. South Indian dishes prevail, as this is the area of India with the most vegetarians, so expect to see dosas, pakoras and tandoori dishes, as well as plenty of paneer, fresh veggies and freshly ground spices. Take the train down to City Hall MTR station and wander up Stamford Road, where it crosses North Bridge Road in the Capitol Piazza and drop in on Nalan Restaurant for a meal to remember: just make sure that you book your table in advance to avoid disappointment.
Had a nice dinner with family and found the food is delicious. Quality is maintained well, ambience looks good and service is nice. Over all we are quite happy.
Super food. Good ambience and good atmosphere for family dining. Masala dosai and Dehi vada is a must try. Will visit again soon With family .
Had some roti and naan, plus two spinach dishes. Really good! The breads were made fresh, to order. Paying was a tad difficult though, as it seems only 1 staff member was allowed to collect $$.
Very nice and delicious Vegetarian food. Good variety and quantity was decent and the ambiance was very appealing as well. Must say it will attract you more visits definitely.
Very tasty food, makes for a great gathering place if you're going with friends who are not vegetarian - they'll love the food too. Must try: Briyani Set Meal (only available during lunch), Palak Paneer, Mock Masala. Make sure to check with the staff if there are things on the menu that are not available at the time of your visit.
Our Family had a wonderful experience and good tasty food from Nalan Restaurant. We like to go back during all our occasions. Little expensive...
The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. the products were fresh and the dishes had the warmth of home-made food.I had a pleasant dining experience with food of the most exquisite flavors.
Good food. Goos service. went there with a group and ordered north, fusion south indian food. was satisfied with the food taste and service. The interior is nice. If they up their service one notch, they would become a place to vouch for.
Nice food- good chutney and Sambar. Badam milk was awesome too. Good service and I really enjoyed it....thanks !! I like how they called me up the next day when I couldn't make it for a reservation I made the night before....
Food quality is good. There are still some good people left since the change from funan to the current place at Capitol. But the sad part is the quantity has significantly come down while the price has gone up- and management seems to be driving this. Very sad.
