We had the lunchtime menu 3 tapas plus drink. Lovely food, and plenty of it. good service, excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend for lunch.
Surprised at the choice, quality and quantity of the servings. Told we could order three selections but found two filling and I am not a small person. Most pleased and will go again. The young couple sitting next to us said they were regular attenders and always most pleased taking advantage of the Wednesday Thursday special. Please with the service as well and will go back again even if not attending the Guild Hall.
This is our third visit (several friends travelling from various counties meet at El Mundo's for lunch every three months) and, as usual, the restaurant was clean and inviting; the food and drink were excellent and the service was attentive (without being intrusive) and professional. It was a great pity that it wasn't as busy as usual.
This was our fourth visit, varying from just the two of us to a party of eight and each visit has been excellent. Each visit has been for a pre-show meal and the service has been prompt giving us plenty of time to get to our seats. We have had Tapas elsewhere and the food here was as good as it gets.
The booking process was very smooth and efficient. The restaurant is lovely, clean and comfortable. However, our party was seated in a place away from the main part of the restaurant which was not as nice looking as what is shown on the website. The service was ok, but there were a few things that could have been better... The waitress began clearing the table before we had finished eating, she came two-three times to remove dishes ad even took some that weren't empty. This was frustrating for us as we had chosen to eat tapas because we knew we would be talking throughout the meal and wanted to nibble the food throughout the evening. One of the dishes was missed and had to be requested ( although there were a few changing of minds during the order-taking so that couldn't really be blamed on the waiting on staff, plus, it happens!) After most of the table had been cleared we were then asked if we would like the bill. No offer of more drinks, desserts or time to digest. We had been chatting a while (this was a reunion meal), but we were by no means the last people in the restaurant and it was before 9.30pm. On walking back through the main (nicer looking) restaurant we saw many other occupied tables. This just put pay to the feeling that we were being pushed out. The food was delicious! Absolutely lush and there are no complaints in that area.
What a fabulous find! As someone with enough allergies and intolerances to fill an A4 piece of paper I was amazed at how much I could actually eat without asking for some of the ingredients to be substituted. And, to top it all, I was given a breakdown of what was in each tapas dish. Brilliant for anyone with a gluten and dairy intolerance. We had twelve dishes between three of us, plus a bottle of wine which in total came to about £75. A very reasonable price! There was plenty of choice but we especially liked the vegetable paella, lamb and pulled pork. We will definitely go back the next time we visit Preston.
We enjoyed the meal for the most part, There were a couple of things we felt could have been better, twice my daughter has been here and both occasions the Crab toast was not available and the alternative they offered was not a suitable alternative, when wanting Crab toast getting salmon in a creamy sauce is not even close to similar. We sat waiting a while for a waiter (after being seated) to ask if we wanted drinks (they didnt) - we had been queueing at the bar for 5 minutes and were about to get served when the waiter came over and we were seated, we excepted the waiter that seated us to ask if we wanted drinks seeing as we had been stood at the bar when he came and got us but no - we had to get a waiters attention to order drinks - The food came quickly and the staff were friendly and polite just a bit oblivious
Went to mundos Friday evening before a show at the charter theatre with my fiancé and another couple. We have eaten here a number of times before and love the food. We ordered 3 dishes each as recommended and a vegetarian platter. This gave just the right amount, lots of choice and everything was very tasty. Staff were very attentive and there was a really good atmosphere in the restaurant. Because we had our show tickets we got 20% off our food bill which was an added bonus. We look forward to going back again soon!
The food was excellent as it always is, excellent environment and staff as always very nice and helpful. Have been going to Mundo Tapas since it opened and have never been let down by them. Consistently high standard all round.
Excellent food, service and value - Mundo Tapas ticked all the boxes for everyone in our party. The restaurant was very clean and appropriately and tastefully decorated. We wouldn't hesitate to go again if ever we are in Preston.
we had the box office package prior to a show at the Guildhall. In addition to the deal (3 Tapas each) we ordered a potion of chips because we thought we may need extra food . We should not have bothered with the potion of chips because the 6 Tapas between us were very filling and enjoyable. Highly recommended food and service
This was the second time we have been to Mundos, all the food really tasty, especially the crispy beef , had a variety of different tapas, it was good that they catered for children too as they can be a bit picky, very friendly and we will definitely be going back soon thank you for a great evening 👍🏼
First time we have been to Mundo Tapas and the food was great. Lots of choice for hard to please children and the sharing experience appealed to the family.
Our table was originally booked for 7 that day changed to 10. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious I would happily come again with a big party and as a couple. Only thing that wasn't over impressed with was the flat bread as its not what I imagined it to be but still was tasty!
Great food and helpful friendly staff, would recommend Mundo Tapas in Preston Lancashire. We have never tried Tapas but on our first visit we found it very good.
Very attentive staff and excellent service. The restaurant had a very good atmosphere. We had a little wait for our food, but it was understandable as it was a very busy Saturday night. When the food did arrive the staff were apologetic for our delay. The food was very tasty and excellent portion sizes for tapas. Me and my fiance will definitely go back in the future
Another Great Meal. Had nine dishes and a bottle of wine for a very reasonable £65. The vegetable paella, lamb and pork were just as good as last time. Service was slightly slow, but they were busy with a big party. Must go back to try out some of the other dishes. Would highly recommend.
This was the first time we had visited Mundo Tapas, and we were both impressed; nice food and the staff were lovely. We will certainly visit again.
Absolutely loved the food at Mundo Tapas, great service and fantastic deals, especially on a Wednesday, will definitely be returning and recommending to everybody we speak to.
My girlfriend and I went for a meal on Saturday evening, there was a nice atmosphere, the staff were friendly and attentive, there was a good choice of dishes on the menu. The food arrived in good time was very fresh and well cooked and very enjoyable. Another nice meal at Mundo!
Didn't realise that this restaurant had been open for 2 years, highly recommend a visit. The food was well presented and very tasty. The portion sizes were spot on too. The staff were friendly and attentive, couldn't have asked for more from them. We will definitely make a return visit
Great atmosphere, service and food. Thoroughly enjoyable meal to have before a show. Would recommend Mundo Tapas everytime after an afternoon shopping expedition in Preston.
Food wonderful, service fanatstic. Portions quite large, ordered too much and had to leave some. My favourite was the Lancashire goats cheese with beetroot. We were a party of twelve going to the Theatre. We swapped and shared quite a lot. I shared ten dished with my two daughters, which was much too much. Looking forward to going again.
Food was excellent so was the service. Portion sizes were ideal for a sharing experience. loved the idea of menus as place mats, very often I forget what ingredients are in the meal and this serves as a reminder. Our first visit but definitely won't be the last. Excellent
A wonderful experience - good food, excellent service and a lovely place in which to relax. I met up with three old school friends who had travelled to Preston from different counties and we were all delighted with our meal at El Mundo. We'll definitely be meeting there again!
Lovely friendly service Efficient professional helpful informative & really chilled lady who served us Good food Fresh Simple Tasty Good size portion as some Tapas are tiny Great choice Would have liked to have seen tuna on menu? Lively yet intimate setting Value for money Thank you
This was our third visit so I think it goes without saying how much we enjoyed the food ,& we did again on our last visit. Service was a little slower this time as they appeared to be very busy but well worth a visit to those who have not yet enjoyed the experience.
Had lovely meal at Mundos Tapas, four of us chose three tapas each and there was plenty of food between us with a nice bottle of white wine for the girls but for me sparkling water as they don't really cater for non alcoholic drinkers , only sugary drinks which I can't drink...
Superb setting. Superb food. Reasonable prices. Great staff. 10% off if you hold a ticket for a Guildhall show. Also if you prefer, you can book your show and Mundos at the same time. This allows you 3 tapas and a drink for £12.99.
The food was very good with good choices. The whole experience was good. Would recommend to friends. Looking forward to going again. We shared a jug of sangria which was very good. The price was very reasonable considering how much we enjoyed it.
Good Tapas with a twist and cooked fresh. Recommended. Staff friendly and helpful with the menu. The duck wrap and the crispy chilli beef are worth a try. We were in early so it was quiet with only a few tables occupied
The staff were very polite, the was a lot of choice on the menu and the dishes were of a decent size and very delicious. The restaurant and toilets were very clean and the overall experience would make me go back again
Another great meal at Mundo's. Food as always is excellent, the crispy beef, prawn tempura, chicken & chorizo paella I could go on and on. Always the right ambiance with friendly staff and it's just great value. Will definitely be returning
We had the ask 3 times just to get the menu. Took over half an hour before we got our drinks that we'd ordered, despite asking twice and it then being sat on the the side of the bar for 10 minutes before we got it.The staff spent more time chatting to each other and folding napkins and anything. And felt rushed to leave when the staff were cleaning up around us. Shame as food was nice but service was awful.
I really enjoyed the whole experience at Mundos, the service and the food was excellent! We were met with a friendly smile and the waitress was very helpful, the food was top rate and i would certainly go again.
The food as always was exceptional as was the service. Our party had doubled from 6 to 12 and the staff were very accommodating and helpful to fit us in as they were fully booked. I'd recommend to anyone.
Just fantastic , place great, service as soon has we got there, staff really friendly and happy, the food was out of this world we had a set menu for Valentine's Day and worth every penny, great place xx
Food good. A bit of a mix up at the bar as the beer ran out so was charged at the bar whilst the barrel changed then brought it to table but then it was also added it to the bill! Only remembered at home so probably should've checked bill closer. Apart from that service was good.
Really love this restaurant. The food is great, and the staff are lovely :) would highly recommend it to other people who enjoy tapas. The Thursday deal of 6 dishes and a bottle of wine is fab value!
Very efficient staff, our order was taken quickly. One waiter even made us a mocktail each despite it not being on the menu!! Food was quick and delicious. First time I've been in but certainly not the last!!
Food was good. Service a little slow, and restaurant was very noisy. Probably not helped by open ceilings and the lack of any soft furnishings to dampen the sound. It was difficult to have a conversation and we struggled to even hear the waitress. Probably would go as a group but not as a couple again.
Turned up on Saturday the 13th of Feb, was expecting the standard menu but got a set Valentine's menu. This kind of defeated the entire point of Tapas to me. And we had to pay double the usual price for the experience. It wasn't bad, good was good etc. Just not at all expected from a tapas bar expecting you were going for a 9.95 each meal and ended up shipping out 60 quid
This was a birthday surprise party and was a great night thanks. Really nice atmosphere and staff where so helpful letting me set up balloons and banners. The food was so tasty and great value. Thanks again
We had a very good dining experience. The range , quality and quantity of food was excellent. We were a little pressed for time due to our theatre booking but next time we will allow ourselves plenty of time to fully enjoy the meal
Excellent food and a very good offer! Went on a wednesday so we took advantage of 6 tapas dishes and two glasses of wine for £20. There was plenty! The staff were friendly and polite too.
Staff were welcoming friendly and efficient, environment was stylish and functional , nice choice of food form the menu , not overly priced I and my friends enjoyed the food , I will be booking again
Really enjoyed our second visit here. The service was good, the food & drink were excellent. A bit surprised they don't appear to do sweets - or if they do, we weren't offered a sweets menu.
Had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Busy place with plenty of atmosphere and great food. Had the Thursday evening special. 6 tapas and a bottle of red wine for £20. Excellent value. Will definitely go again.
The food was perfectly cooked and had lots of great flavours. There was a lot of variety and it was fun to have many smaller sized meals instead of just one big meal. Loved it.
Very nice staff & amazing food as always. Will definitely be returning to mundos. Very reasonably priced and nice size portions. Duck was every so slightly too crispy but apart from that can't fault it
