Staff were very friendly and care for us! Food and wine selections were excellent. Of course one of the best location of harbor view. Family really enjoyed dinner tonight.
Took us awhile to find the right way to enter the restaurant as fullerton bay hotel was undergoing renovations at that time and it was raining quite heavily. More signages along the construction boards will better show the way to the entrance.
Great food and ambiance. We had the a great 3couse set lunch. The iberico was very tasty. The view was lovely. We will return again but probably in the evening.
Great food in an good atmosphere. The view of the bay is excellent and it's interesting to see boats so closely by. Helpful and friendly staff 😀
Lovely dinner experience at Monti. I was initially a tad disappointed as I made the dinner reservations 1 week ahead & requested for a window table since it was a birthday celebration. Perhaps I made the reservation too late still and window tables were all taken. I was given a table along the 'aisle' of the lower deck (2 to 3 tables away from the window) & nearest to the kitchen entrance. So I often have waiters walking past me which can be a little distracting at times. Only perk of that was seeing the visual representation of food we didn't order and have a closer view of fresh pasta hanging at the 'window' of the pasta room. Despite facing the kitchen entrance, I did have a look behind me and I have to say that the overall ambience/lighting in the restaurant was pretty comfortable and romantic. Chic elegance. Service was pretty good. The waiters were amiable & do check in with us periodically in case we need recommendations on the menu, or to make sure we enjoyed our food. Only wished I didn't have to ask for more bread myself (twice). We had our fill of bread by the time they finally offered us more without us requesting for it. Not all the bread were served warm, but I was rather amazed/intrigued at the tray of 4 square bottles on table. 1 for balsamic vinegar, and 3 for varying intensities/ flavour of extra virgin olive oil (fruity, medium & spicy/bitter). I could really taste the difference between fruity and spicy/bitter. The food was fantastic. For starters, we had the kale salad (refreshing & flavourful though salty) and sliced sous-vide veal (interesting combination with the tuna mayo). For our mains, we had the ravioli stuffed with braised veal (flavourful veal stuffing and you can really taste the lemon zest in the butter) and the mushroom tagliatelle (also wonderfully flavourful with the mushrooms and truffle). I was really mesmerised by the fresh handmade pasta, especially the tagliatelle which has the most springy texture I ever had in pasta. I wished we had a bigger portion so I have more to savour that flavour and pasta texture. For desserts, we had the tea-infused chocolate cigar (acquired taste but absolutely instagram-worthy. pretty filling I must say) and the baileys affogato (nothing can go wrong with this!). They even gave us a complimentary shot of limoncello each before the desserts arrived (not sure if it was due to my reservation remark on birthday celebration or to clear our palettes), as well as nutty shortbread biscuits to end off the meal. Our overall experience was pretty good. Though we deliberated and came to the conclusion that we may not have left the restaurant filling full if not for the 3 slices of bread we had and that we each had our own starter and dessert. Nonetheless, I'm definitely returning for more of that handmade pasta!
Ordered an appetizer (Smoked Swordfish Carparccio), soup of the day (mushroom soup) and 2 mains (today's special: beef and black ink angel hair pasta). We had decided not to order dessert as their offerings were quite limited. Swordfish caparccio is thinly sliced, pretty tasty. Soup was great, done in the style i like. Beef is superb, though we find it too cooked for a medium rare, the meat is very tender and soft. Pasta will be great for those who like the taste of squid ink and not too heavy. We were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant prepared a slice of cake to celebrate my fiance's birthday. I had indicated in my reservation to reserve a window seat as I'm celebrating a birthday. The cake doesnt seem to be anything from the menu and tastes really good! We decided to have a drink and stayed on for their live jazz band which were really great too! The atmosphere changed from intimate dining to a jazz bar from evening to night. Overall, its a great experience dining at Monti and prices are not as steep as I initially thought. Only downside is they seemed to be understaffed once the place is full and its so hard to get a service staff when you need them.
Services was good at Monti At 1-Pavilion. Just that I saw there was a lunch promote for the lunch set menu at S$30++ when I made the reservation but I was charged full price for the lunch!!!
I was not pleased with the restaurant at all. Made an online reservation with special request to include message on dessert. Called an hour before my reservation to confirm my special request was taken note of. The staff who answered my call acknowledged my request but when the dessert came, there was no surprise message. Staff were relatively young and lack knowledge of menu. Apart from that, great ambience. Great view. Had 2 specials, food was ok. Restaurant service and staff can be improved, especially menu knowledge and clearing of table (to remove bits/crumbs or tissue) Overall, would not go back again.
Food was good but room for improvement for service level. Our water was not topped up promptly. There was many a times our cup were empty. In addition, we left our appetiser untouched for long, indicating that we no longer want it but no one took notice to clear it but left us waiting for long till we went to inform them. Instead, they could have come forward to check. Music was too loud too.
A little disappointed with the interior decorations. Service was fair. Been there twice before Monti-1 took over. Not as classy as before. Food wise is alright. Set lunch at $42++ pretty pricey. No service staff at entrance. Waited a little while before being served/ushered. Put us at the table where the kitchen was just next to it when there are nicer empty tables. I am particular about the table setting especially in a fine restaurant. There is no placemat, no flowers, no table deco. Just some variety of salt and vinegar for the bread.
The food was fantastic very tasty. Amazing location. The service and staff were impeccable. The only down side was our table, right in front of the kitchen. You don't go to a great restaurant with fantastic food to see the kitchen, unless it's behind the counter. When booking make sure you ask for a table NOT facing the kitchen.
Good Value, the ambience was great. Food choices are good, great place to meet up with friends. I will recommend it to friends. One of our friends is a vegetarian and the chef was kind enough to make her a special vegetarian dish that was excellent. Thanks!!
The food was great, best parma ham i have ever had! The only negative thing was that when i ordered my second red wine glass, it was served to me in a white wine glass and it was about 50% less than in the first glass.
We visited during the Chinese New Year period to celebrate a special occasion. The food and service were excellent, and the prices, though on the high side, were not prohibitive. Will recommend to friends for special occasions.
Service was a bit slow but the staff made the effort to keep apologising & checking back on us, as well as giving a free coupe of champagne for the wait. Food is fantastic, as is the view! Definitely a would-recommend!
Awesome view with very affordable food. The staffs did miss out on our orders but was rectified promptly, and they even offered a complimentary champagne. Loved th experience and will definitely come back again!
The service was very professional and we felt very well looked after throughout the dinner. I definitely recommend the pasta (ravioli) and risotto. They were our favourite dishes of the night. Thank you to the Monti team.
Ambience is nice. Food is nice. But sad to say that service is not there. Service staff will need to be more dedicated and choice of words and ways approaching diners for coffee or tea are so not professional. Example: ways of serving napkin - did not open up the napkin and just literally lay it on our lap.
Service was poor (may be due to understaffing), food took a long time to arrive and was not particularly good. Further, they ran out of ingredients for their lunch time set, which is not really acceptable for the level of dining that they are marketing themselves as. in the middle of lunch, there was a loud crash of broken plates from the end of the dining room. Maybe there is also a lack of training of staff as they seemed quite inexperienced. Half empty for a weekend lunch.
Spectacular view of the river no matter which table you're at. Great attentive service and good food worth its price! Choices are a tad limited though; hopefully more items can be added to the menu.
We tried the 3 course set lunch. Both appetizers were not wow in taste & presentation. We ordered beef pasta for our main course. The fresh pasta was al dente & had a nice texture but we felt it was alittle under salted & lukewarm. We enjoyed the rustic bread & the coffee most. Service was just OK.
Food was good, we decided on the tasting menu with wine pairing. The wine selection wasn't as good as expected and sommelier could've been a lot friendlier. By that I don't mean huge pours (although my pours subsequently decreased with each new glass). No effort to explain the wine selection, and he seemed pretty unhappy all night.
Good Italian fare at reasonable prices. Service was exceptional as well. Add all that to views of the Bay. Overall a very satisfying experience for a birthday celebration.
The view from the restaurant is really good. We had the set lunch menu. The quality of the food is really good and the price is really reasonable.
Really exceed my expectations! Staff were attentive, everyone seemed to be in sync with their tune, food were served accordingly, most importantly, the ambience and view were great!
The restaurant was empty yet we were unfortunately seated at a corner before having to ask for a change. The coffee martini was yummy and the red house pour was great. The buratta could have been dressed up better and it was a little dry. The lamb and ravioli was alright but the dessert was fabulous.
Yummy risotto and great ambience. The staff were attentive and friendly. Have i said the risotto was great?! It is also cooked in a cheese wheel ^_^
6 - the experience was great. The restaurant manager was very helpful as i had something special planned. All in all a great experience. Food, ambiance, service.
Cocktails were great but slow to arrive and even got sent to the wrong table. Starters and Oysters were nice but their speciality dish 'truffle risotto' was cold after mixing with the burning cheese, and small in size after a lot of it was left on the cheese and thrown away... Amazing venue though!
Lovely place to dine and service and food good enough to make me revisit the restaurant The views from the restaurant is gorgeous and it's lovely place to dine in the evening
Promo 2 for 60$ is not worth it Foods are very so-so 6 of us spend $480 180++ for food D rest for water, 5cup of coffee n half bottle red wine -- overcharged Waiters are helpful though
Mediocre food. Great ambience and excellent service! We went there for lunch and it was quite hot to sit facing the sea. The host let us moved to the lounge area which is cozy and we liked it!
excellent customer service. food tasted great and the view was breath taking! will definitely revisit in future and recommend it to my friends! cheers xx
Food is so good. Price was reasonable. Had a pleasant experience in Monti with a nice view facing MBS hotel. The staff was friendly and approachable. Highly recommend this place!
Nice restaurant with a good view. Nice ambience with great service. Food is presentable and delectable but not for big eaters. Would be perfect if it is not too pricey.
Great food, fantastic service and Super good location! Looked out at the fantastic view of the Bay while the sun sets, enjoying the delicious food.
steak tartare was heavenly. service was not very attentive but very courteous. it was a bit humid and bright as the glass walls kept the sun in but breeze out.
Was there for lunch. Service was good. Food quality as well. Overall no complaints except that the premise was a little too hot. Would be good if aircon stronger.
Good service and great ambience. Live jazz band was great. Food was fantastic. Good hangout for a night out. The window seat was over-rated though. Not that great a view of Marina Bay at night
Service staff were untrained. Our server literally dropped the menu on us and didn't ask if we were there for the first time, talk us through the menu, didn't introduce specials of the day etc. Food was just passable for the price point. Felt like a mid tier family restaurant trying to be hip fine dining. For a venue with a view that awesome, the restaurant was disappointing.
Some of the dishes are salty, would do great if food are reviewed again. Would do great if staff is able to recommend diners on the food theyvare ordering. Great ambience and friendly staff
Had the superfood salad and a risoto, both tasty. The ambiance is nice, although the restaurant was a bit empty. Nice live jazz music. Staff very attentive.
Very nice environment, food is also very good to eat, and the service is also very good! Will come again! Will introduce friends come to drink to eat
Great food, impeccable service and an unbeatable view. Just missing the buzz - hope to see the place busier next time I'm there. Sommeliers are great too!
Food was good and they use fresh ingredients. The staff was pleasant and friendly. Price was reasonable. Definitely would recommend this place!
Decent service, good food and reasonable price. Some staff were more tentative, but the more experienced one was good at anticipating needs and making constructive recommendations.
lovely view of the skyline of singapore. Truffle pasta was very good. Not to mention excellent service from the staff. Definitely a place to return to
Food was excellent. Waiters/waitresses might need a bit more training because you would expect absolutely impeccable service from a high end restaurant like this. Thanks
The environment was nice. The live jazz band was entertaining. The food was alright except the main course was abit oily. Service provided was good.
Good food though some portions seemed very small for mains. Good service tho as with all new restaurants needs a little refining. Very nice ambience.
