As refreshing as the meteorological phenomenon from which the restaurant takes its name, Monsoona is an Indian eatery with a major point of difference. Rather than relying on the heavy use of salt, sugar and oils to impart flavour, Monsoona houses a health-conscious kitchen at its intimate premises on Bridge Street in Aberdeen’s city centre. Using sunflower oil – low in saturated fat and high in vitamin E – plus low-fat yoghurt and cream, Monsoona’s South Asian dishes are guilt-free indulgences. The setting and decor imparts a healthy passion too, romantic and snug – ideal for a dinner date or a private gathering of up to 50 guests. The menu is, very naturally, dominated by Indian and Pakistani cuisines, meat, seafood and vegetarian delicacies, but you can also find some Asian fusion (including Indo-Chinese) delicacies, too.
Good atmosphere, loads of waiters so good service. Food was tasty & light. Great nan. Easy to book online. Good range of food served on hot plates.

Excellent all round experience for our 42nd wedding anniversary. Nice ambience in the restaurant, friendly attentive staff, superb food, fair price. We could hardly have asked for anything more. We booked online before hand and they were fully expecting us. Outstanding! Would highly commend this place for quality authentic Indian food.

A very unusual street but the door leads you into a lovely room with a great welcome from the staff. The menu is a little shorter than most Indian restaurants but I think that it indicates the food will be freshly prepared and seasonal. Indeed it was. All was delicious. My only slight grumble would be the red wines they do by the glass - two very similar and generic wines - would prefer to see, and pay for, a slightly more expensive type.
