Thinking about making a Monochrome Coffee booking?

There is no shortage of quality eateries for lunch in and around Singapore’s downtown core, but it can be hard to find something that is at once gourmet, satisfying, healthy and fast. Not so much anymore thanks to Monochrome Coffee, who have set up their bakery, cafe and workspace on Prinsep Street just off Orchard Road. These guys get that if you do a few things very, very well, you can be a lot more attractive than places that try to do it all. The first thing that Monochrome Coffee does well is, unsurprisingly, coffee – quality locally roasted beans, extracted to perfection by experienced baristas.

The second thing done well here on Prinsep Street is sandwiches, and their serious passion for taste and nutritional quality starts at the bread – soft sourdough with a crunchy bite and pleasant tang, baked on-site daily after a long fermentation process that makes the dough easier for us to digest and the wheat’s nutrients more available to us than in other bread. Then come the amazing gourmet fillings – our favourite is the incredible slow-roasted beef with crunchy purple cabbage slaw, onions, red wine gravy and Monochrome’s house-made Russian chilli dressing. Monochrome is way too good to remain a secret in downtown Singapore, so make sure you book in advance to enjoy their gourmet goodies!
