A few of our favourite dishes would have to be their huge hot seafood platter, the creamy corn crab meat soup, or their magnificent mushroom abalone. Best chili crabs i have tried so far. Reasonable price compared to other more popular crab restos. Was worried it would be full but there were barely any people dining in.
Fantastic food with authentic Singaporean seafood at reasonable prices. There's also a wide variety of dishes to choose from, especially their extensive menu of different types of crabs. Service was also very good. We didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive. Keen to return to try their other dishes.
The crabs r fresh. Chilli, black pepper and yolk ones r recommended. Cearal prawn also tasty. The environment is quiet, not crowded as the other outlets.
Great food and friendly staff. Environment is not too busy and is good for large groups. Also appreciate the off menu items Chef Melvin created for us.
Legendary Melben crabs are well, legendary yums =) If you count waiting in line, hordes of patrons, noisy chattering as part of the Melben food experience, you won't get it here 'cos it was rather spacious on a rainy Saturday evening. The fried chicken recommended by the server was good too! Just a tad disappointed by the serving size of the broccoli/scallop but well, crabby takes centrestage!
Food was reasonably okay but lacked the wow factor, taste was what one might expect from an average tze char place but price was on high side. $40 for a large-mediumish plate of salted egg york prawns, maybe 10 prawns? Veg dishes lack authentic wok hei flavour, the sauce of the hk style steam fish also lacked fragrance, "large brocolli with scallops cost $40 also. 2 crabs at $78 each maybe more or less standard price... but for a coffee shop setting meal, $360+ for 7 adults, 2 children and a baby seems on the higher side given the food wasn't wow quality. Disappointing one off dining experience
We ordered the signature Chili Crab, salted egg Prawn and Scallop with broccoli. The dishes are good but small & not worth for the money. The place looks completely different from photos online. It's clean but old. No air con. I will not eat there again because there is another seafood restaurant in town that provides the same quality of food with a much better environment.
Food was bad, the crab beehoon soon was too salty and crab is small and not the best quality or freshness. It took us a Long time to find parking too. Only good thing was that the food arrives really fast only because the restaurant was almost empty even on a Saturday night!
Food was good. Service was good. Overall dining experience was not too bad. However, due to the humid weather, it was really getting a bit stuffy and sweaty. Air conditioning would help make it a perfect dining experience.
The Claypot Crab Bee Hoon and Creamy crab were yummy but the rest of the dishes was kind of disappointing. Service is good, with just 2 stafsf serving about 7 occupied tables, they are really efficient and attentive.
