The food was great and value for money! The service provided was also prompt and the servers ensured that our experience there was a great one.
Went to the place yesterday after purchasing the deal.com.sg voucher for a portion of ribs, a quesadilla appetiser, 2 glasses of wine and 2 scoops of ice cream. The quesadilla had melted cheese and pulled pork in it and was served with ranch dip and a small salad. The pulled pork filling was ample in amount and tender. Not a bad choice for an appetisier. The ribs came in several flavours, namely original, spicy, bourbon, hickory and honey mustard. We went for honey mustard and though it turned out a little sweet, the ribs were big and tender, coming off the bone quite easily. It came with our choice of a healthy portion of straight cut fries and coleslaw. We also ordered a seafood marinara which came with quite a generous amount of prawns, squid and mussels. The establishment prides itself on selling the meanest ribs in town and I'd say they are doing a decent job of it. Generous portions at affordable prices.
The platter we ordered was above our expectations. Meat were grilled to standard and were soft and tender. The ribs were very well marinated. Plus, the free flow sides that came with the platter were a plus point.
Nice place to chill out at, food was great aside from desserts. Waffles were too crispy, actually. More like biscuits than waffles. Seemed like the place lacked serving staff as well, but other than side the place was great
Maybe my expectation was misled by the write up of the restaurant. The crispy skin salmon has limpy skin . The rest of our orders were alright , perhaps the sou vide ribeye was the best of the lot. The wine volume served for the glass pour was stingy to say the least till it was made known to the server. He explained that they misjudged the pour. All in all , was not all that bad but maybe our return will be a much longer wait.
The food was decent and suitable for a quick bite before heading out or for lunch. Nonetheless, the menu is limited, the decor is confused and the aircon is either set to arctic storm or steamy tropical (probably through no fault of their own as it seemed to be a central system). The braised beef ribs were good, as was the burger but sadly the food was chilled by the aircon far too quickly.
I got a call from the restaurant today (Sat) that their supplier ran out of stocks today thus the business will be closed till following Tuesday. Although I did not get to eat at the place today, but I appreciate the call and explanation provided. I will go back again to try.
Food was very good. The ribs were succulent and had been flavoured well Each piece was consistent in texture- tasty, moist, coming off the bone and not too much fat. One downside though is the long wait for the food.
Went there for my dad's birthday only to be told that steak was sold out. How can steak be sold out at a meat restaurant?? Was very disappointed :( I ordered ribs instead and that was good. My dad ordered the wagyu burger and said the meat was tough. The dessert we wanted was also unavailable.
We wanted to try the 500 g steak but was told need to order in advance. Pasta was not available either. Meat platters was pretty big portion for 4 paxs but the fried chicken was too salty . We waited for close an hour for the food to arrive . Free flow iced tea was too diluted. Service was bad maybe due to short- handed. Ambience was bad coz very noisy in the upstairs dining .
