About Matsuya Sushi Bar
The best thing about dining at Matsuya Sushi Bar lies in not having to decide what to order from the menu. Living in a fast-paced city like Singapore, we’re already confronted with having to make many decisions within a day, so why not visit this Japanese restaurant on Seah Street for its popular omakase set meals – and let yourself be surprised by the dishes the chef has to offer? If you really have to pick something from the menu though, we highly recommend the chirashi don, which offers value for money with bite-sized cuts of raw vegetables and thick slices of raw fish served atop a fragrant bed of Japanese rice. Matsuya Sushi Bar is situated within walking distance from Bugis MRT and reservations are highly recommended.

A small sushi bar in a prime location. Food was nice but still has chinese essence. The tofu appetizer with thousand years old egg moose was impressive, however, the cod soup was very off with bone pieces all over the bowl. Other dishes like donburi and sashi were in general standard. Service was ok, one chinese lady who could hardly understand English. Overall experience was ok, nothing to wow.
Excellent service and high quality fresh seafood! The toro and maguro were fantastic. Chef was creative and servings were generous. Highly recommended. Good selection of sake too.
