Born from missing his favourite Singaporean street food dishes, Mamak Botak in Willetton has got Perth foodies absolutely buzzing. Experimenting with classic dishes led to one of the most exciting menus in the city, with an interesting mix of Asian and Australian influences. You’ll find western breakfast dishes, variations of nasi lemak, thosai, roti pratas and murtabak as well, with plenty of fillings and sides so you can rest assured you’ll leave more than satisfied each and every time. Mamak Botak is located on Pinetree Gully Road, just across from Burrendah Park – just make sure you reserve in advance as this place is popular for a very good reason!
Good atmosphere. Good food. The ice kacang and the chendol was soooo yummy!!!!! The female staff member that works there have awesome people skills. Close to home and not that far. Great location.
Good food! Reminds me of my home country's food! If you from Singapore or Malaysia, you should visit this restaurant to curb your briyani craving!
Good aunthentic Malay food. Some things were sold out which was a shame. The price is good and not too expensive. Overall would come back
Beautiful food and desserts. Friendly staff and great environment (Mamak stall feel). However I think that they need to hire a few more waiter/read as the place is very pack but they can't seem to get to their customers fast enough! Saying that, I will still definitely come back again@
Some popular menu items were not available which was frustrating. Service was good but suggest that all dishes for a table be brought out at the same time. Also suggest menus be posted outside the restaurant and that take away menus be made available. Prices are far too high. For example, thosais are overpriced compared to Kauphy Place. There are a lot of dining choices in the area so Mamakbotak needs to be competitive. Although the name of the cafe is great, it will do nothing to attract non-Malaysian/Singaporean customers UNLESS prices are attractive enough for them to peer inside and come in, I would like this cafe to survive and not end up like GoGos cafe and Melting Point
Went there on their second day of opening. Drinks were very authentic and delicious. Had the iced Milo and Teh Tarik which are definitely one of the best I've had in Perth. Food took a lot longer than expected but was good overall. Wish the team the very best for their launch!
