Just as with the cuisine, Singapore’s Mag’s Wine Kitchen keeps the restaurant’s setting clean and simple. Elegantly furnished, the interior is sophisticated and suitable for a romantic evening out. Diners are treated to a number of starters and mains like the 180g Australian beef tenderloin, braised angus short rib, pan-seared sea bass fillet and butter poached Boston lobster among several French choices like foie gras terrine. Mag’s is committed to using seasonal ingredients whenever possible, so the menu changes often – check back in from time to time to see what’s new. This Boat Quay restaurant is on the smaller side, so reservations are a must!
Been going here for 9 years, food never, ever disappoints. Few changes to the menu recently, can recommend the Miso ribs, awesome!! scallops as a starter and lamb my usual go to but was recommended the ribs, now my go to!
Love the pork chop. A must try for anyone there.
Excellent choice of restaurant for delicious western food and drink. The booking via quandoo went well, although the first booking was rejected, but subsequent booking was successful.
Food is excellent. We have the Angus beef, lobster and lamb for the main. The meat is tender and juicy for the beef and lamb and all the dishes were excellently done. All the desert was excellent. Kudos to the cook and service staff.
The beef tenderloin & lobster risotto were very tasty & cooked very nicely. My order of Medium for the beef was done to perfection. Not too bloody nor too overcooked. Just right. Oysters were very fresh & nicely garnished with just the right amount of herbs for a flavorful mouthful. Ambience was nothing to boot about though. Simple, empty & quiet, we were the only table there. Go for the food! Not for the ambience.
Excellent food chosen from a fixed-price menu: $65++ for three courses plus a bottle of a House red between two of us. Servings appear small, but were more than adequate. Service OK, but a bit overwhelmed by a large group booking. Certainly worth further visits, as the meals were well conceived and very tasty.
After reading past reviews, I was kinda expecting a noisy dinner but it was a quiet night at Mag's. Overall the food and service were good, notably the Tain of blue swimmer crabmeat which was delicious! Pretty good value for money, no complains at all. I'll definitely go back there again.
Great food, wine and service in a quaint intimate setting! Highly recommended! Had a party of 6 and they accommodated us with no problems. All courses came out together and hot and cooked to perfection.
Great food and excellent service at a fair price - what more can you want? Sea Bass is a must have and the Black Angus beef melts in your mouth. Will definitely be back.
Awesome food! Great style. I really like it at May's because it has a homey feeling. Not like the large fancy restaurants, which have a tendency to miss the personal touch.
