The phrase Mad Cow might not be one that you would like to associate with your beef if you’re from Europe, but apparently down in Singapore, anything goes. Indeed, they relish it, going as far as naming one of their premier steakhouses after it. Mad Cow on Killiney Road in Somerset – directly between Orchard Road and River Valley Road – they offer a huge range of steaks, cooked to perfection and served up in a stylish and refined environment, as well as burgers and a huge array of sides. They’re one of the newcomers on the Singapore steakhouse scene, but they are fast making a name for themselves in River Valley, so book a table at Mad Cow and get yourself over there to find out what all the fuss is about.

The title of the best steakhouse in Singapore is contested among some real big hitters, among the strongest to be found anywhere in Asia, and there are always newcomers that are trying to take the crown of the current champs. Mad Cow are one such contender, with a range of meats that bring the finest in grilled beef from around the world to Killiney Road in Somerset. From Down Under comes Aussie beef; from the Land of the Free one can taste prime US ribeye and from the old colonial motherland one can sample the Angus steaks – all in the heart of Singapore and accompanied by a huge range of sides, sauces and other accoutrements.

The menu at Mad Cow goes far further than just steakhouse classics, however. There are other graduates of bovine university, and the burgers in particular are worth noting. Alongside the bread and ground beef combos come chicken, seafood, fish and more, as well as more vegetarian options than you can shake a carrot stick at. Take the train to Somerset on the Red Line or Dhoby Ghaut on the Yellow or Purple, then wander up Orchard Road as far as Killiney Road, before turning down to Mad Cow and entering steakhouse heaven in Singapore.
