There are many Italian restaurants in Singapore, but Kucina is one of few that offers a completely halal menu still consisting of all the classics of the Italian kitchen. Founded by an experienced and extremely talented chef, Kucina is a great place not just for delightful pizza, pasta and fresh meat, but for sweet treats, too. You’ll find this Singapore Italian restaurant on Tanjong Katong Road, right inside the OneKM shopping mall of Paya Lebar. Be aware that Kucina is quite the little gem, so it’s definitely worth reserving a table ahead of time.
Some of the best restaurants in Singapore often lurk in shopping malls, which is exactly the case with Kucina Italian Restaurant. Head to OneKM Mall on Tanjong Katong Road and you’ll find this dining space that’s cool and modern yet rustic with plenty of woodwork and exposed brick – the perfect contemporary setting to enjoy fine Italian food. In fact, Kucina is one of the most popular Italian restaurants in Paya Lebar, thanks also to the menu of entirely halal Italian food that’s on offer, obviously…
The food at Kucina Italian Restaurant is prepared and cooked so that all can enjoy and the quality is damn difficult to match. Anything you order will be beautifully presented in way that makes it very obvious the chefs care about what they’re doing, but a few standout dishes include the salmon gnocchi which is, quite frankly, knock-knock-gnocchi on heaven's door. The pizzas, meanwhile, are classically topped with the highest quality ingredients around, and the desserts? Well, chocolate lava cake, anyone? This is gourmet Italian food done right, and this Paya Lebar restaurant is one of the best that Singapore has to offer. Do yourself all kinds of favours and get booked in.
Great experience as the food was great & serving staff were attentive. The food from appetisers, entrees & desserts were appetising. It is really money worth it
Nice food that was prepared thoughtfully. Definitely not fast food quality , not the lasagna you find in 7 11 . Ingredients fresh and worth coming back! Service was a tad slow though . Even off peak hours was filling constantly. Tiramisu heavenly
I enjoyed the food and it was interesting to see the chef cook pasta in the cheese wheel. Easy to make reservations via Quandoo. Rcommended
The biscetta and parmesan wheel pasta is good. Same goes for the 4 formaggi pizza too. Reasonably priced, it gets better that there is 15% off Al la carte dishes for hsbc card too!
Kucina is my go to place for Italian food. I liked how all the order served consecutively according to courses. They are very generous in their portions and serves a vide variety of food. The prices are also affordable. For this visit, I made a special request to surprise my parents since it was their anniversary. The crew executed the surprise craftily and it was perfect.
Overall it was ok experience. I wouldn't go back there again as there are better choices out there. Sad to say that out of 4 dishes we ordered only one dish was good which was the squid ink risotto. The chef's pizza and sharing platter of appetisers were most salty. It's like someone just splattered salt and oil over the platter tray!
Service staff were prompt and friendly. Started off with the seafood stew – great taste + fresh, generous ingredients. Followed by crabmeat pasta, gnocchi, and ravioli which were served in hearty portions and tasted delicious. Will be back!
food was great. pizza is really good...ordered the squid ink risotto and it was alright only. supply & demand has better squid ink risotto. other than that, everything's great!
The staff were friendly, made the dining experience very enjoyable, especially Huda! The calzone was average, but the special cheese wheel pasta was sooo good! A bit pricey, but I really enjoyed it!
Great food, nice friendly service. The chef came out to talk to us after our meal. Everything was lovely, especially the Nutella tiramisu. Will come back again!
