The Kinara Group’s Indian restaurant at Holland Village is one of 4 Kinara outlets serving impeccable Indian cuisine throughout Singapore, rounded out by Kinara’s Saffron bistro along Circular Road. Joining Kinara’s Boat Quay location, the new Upper East Coast Road restaurant, and an outlet at Changi Business Park, Kinara’s Holland Village spot along Lorong Mambong is popular amongst the expatriates who frequent the district. With North Indian dishes to suit every taste and level of spice- tolerance, Kinara invites you to dine like royalty – but it is spice that rules every Kinara restaurant.
Expert Indian chefs and discreet, attentive service are typical of the Kinara dining
experience. Just stepping into Kinara’s laid-back but engagingly decorated hot
spot location in Singapore’s hip Holland Village district is a delight – somehow the
atmosphere of historical Rajasthan tempers the happening, bustling vibe you find
along Lorong Mambong. You’re transported to another world, fully absorbed in
Kinara’s fragrant dishes that hail from India’s north-western borders.
Northern Indian vegetarian shakahari are a perfect start, and all dishes use the best basmati rice selected from crops grown in and around Dehradum, in the northern province of Uttarakhand. Seafood is also represented, though, in the selection of samundari curries, dishes that take full advantage of Singapore’s abundance of fresh fish. With 5 locations where you can enjoy Kinara’s Indian cuisine, you’d be hard pressed to find an excuse not to drop in and enjoy the ambience. Watching the action along Lorong Mambong from the peace and quiet of Kinara Holland Village’s outdoor dining area is unbeatable. But, if an at-home Indian feast is what you want, then delivery throughout Singapore is available. Kinara also offer an easy-to-use online form to arrange catering for corporate or private functions or catering that’s mobile and al fresco.
I have eaten Fish Tikka more than 5 times. The dish is delicious every single time I ate it. Comes with free crispy naan, mint and mango dip - very nice.
Very nice chicken kebab and Lamb Tikka. Very friendly waiter and waitress. 50% off during weekday lunch is a very good deal. Will definitely eat there again.
very nice - fish tikka masala $21, nice - chicken kebab $18.90, lamb spinach $21, baigan (brinjal) $14, not nice - vegetarian starter, butter chicken.
Very delicious food. The ambience is very warm as well with cute cushions and Hindi songs. I had a vegetarian dish called Paneer Chatpata Masala...I recommend this to everyone!
The good was only half decent. The lacked the spice and flavor, and we're quite clans compared to Indian cuisine. It seemed like it's Indian food made to suite those who can't handle Indian food. Also, the price is twice as expensive as a good Indian restaurant. Main course took a long time to arrive. Won't come back.
We got our seats as per the reservation. The vegetarian food that we ordered was good except for Jalfrezi. The service on a crowded Valentine day was excellent. Overall good experience.
