nice and relaxing atmosphere, great food, loved to have ginger on the table, so you can have as much as you want for your xiao long bao
A quiet restaurant in the heart of Orchard Road. Food was well-prepared and prices were reasonable. Went for dinner on Friday evening and the restaurant was practically empty. Surprised that SG hasn't shown this good restaurant a little more love!
My fav go-to place in the hood with fab food services and ambience
Excellent food and service and ambience. Consistent experience and kid friendly. The private room is very nice and is great for mid sized parties or gatherings
Here's what we ordered for 3 pax Dinner. The 2 Signature dishes (10 x Soupy Dumplings and 6 xPan Fried Dumplings) are well worth it. Famous Ja jiang noodles were a little thick and overcooked (mushy and waterlogged), bit sparing with the spinach. 1 x Chinese pork and seafood pizza and 1 x Red Bean with Sesame Pancake Dessert were both great. 1 x Rice Balls in Rose Water: Not great, the balls were still trying to thaw from being frozen. Skip this dish. 1 x Pot of Free Flow Premium Pu-Er: Perfect for this cuisine. Badly-made Teapot that dribbled everywhere, there was more tea on our table than in our teacups. Total food bill for the above: $76 Too many huge red lampshades packed in a row, painfully bright under them; can be used for dental surgery. Mind U it's not as bright as the original outlet at Neil Rd — light up Singapore over there. Service was efficient and friendly.
Had dinner in Jing Hua Xiao Chi in Palais Renaissance. Not crowded, probably because it is a Wednesday. Menu is not wide but happy with the food ordered, especially the Guo Tie. The Xiao Long Bau is decent too - juicy and tasy. Service is good too.
Really like the food there and the service was prompt. Went on a Thursday night and was surprised that there were few customers so it was quiet as if we had the restaurant to ourselves. Like the ambience too. Only thing was that they closed early at 8.30pm so we had to find another place to hang out. But overall enjoyed the good food and service there!
A much modern ambience vs their original branch at Neil Road. Nice & quiet as the restaurant location is probably not known by many yet. Xiao Long Bao is still great after not having them a long time as I always couldn't get a table at the Neil Road branch. The dumplings in the Osmanthus based soup is very fragrant! I love their red bean pancake but wish that the crust is crispier. Service is ok. Impersonal but efficient.
Nice taste, Nice service. In my opinion, grilled dumplings is the best. However, pizza dumplungs was sold out. Actually, I wanted to As soon as, I will visit Jing Hua Xiao Chi again!
Service was prompt and non intrusive. The restaurant was not crowded which made for a more private and exclusive experience. :p waiters also changed the plates very often. Foodwise, taste was great especially the Chinese pizza and the sanxie guotie. Not a fan of the noodles though. Selection was limited which prevents a more frequent visit. Price was affordable too. About 23 per pax.
