A household name among Singapore’s meat lovers, Jack’s Place is a successful chain of restaurants, with branches located all over the city-state. The story of Jack’s Place began when a man named Mr. Say Lip Hai arrived in Singapore from Hainan island and started working as a cookboy with the British troops, then going on to open his own restaurant. After tasting Mr Say’s wonderful steak, the wife of Jack Hunt asked him to take over the kitchen of her husband’s pub, and Jack’s Place was born. Still going strong all these years later, Jack’s Place is the place to go for quality meats, fresh seafood and other Western-style favourites, and you’ll find a branch located inside Parkway Parade on Marine Parade Road. Food excellent, nice atmosphere sides were fantastic too would go again in the future. Hopefully there will be less queues and could get to eat quickly
Value for money portion of food. Comprehensive set menu with food quality remaining at the same standard and quality despite being around for so many years already.
The restaurant manager was extremely patient and attentive to our group, and even noticed and checked in if it was someone's birthday. Food was very decent as well!
Jack's Place serves a wide range of sizzling beef steaks, hearty food, desserts and cake. They have carved out a special place in the hearts and appetites of Singaporeans.
We celebrated birthday there. The restaurant has kind enough to arrange the birthday cake for us beforehand and provided a LED board with the name of the birthday girl. However, they have forgotten our tea/coffee and dessert for our set meal. After reminding them thrice and waited around 15 mins, these were finally sent to us.
The ambience food and their service was good. except something to comment on my steak was undercooked when i have ask for a cook steak. also the Lobster bisque was way too salty which they to consider cutting salt on our food.
Best $30 steak in SG. Better than Aston's any day. I've had T-bone ($29) a couple of times, premium ribeye ($35) tonight. Both nice - this one with plenty of tasty fatty bits. T
I had my doubts about the student meal but it was pretty good! For $8, I got Sprite, Garlic Bread, Spaghetti with Sausage and Beef and a dessert! This is after GST.
Good steak for the working man. NIce ambience, service was acceptable. Menu has good selection of seafood, poultry and other meats that should cater for everyone.
Busy and staff were not able to serve on time but they tried. Food was average but fairly value for money so overall it’s ok.
