Inspired French cuisine, and artisanal ingredients and international flair take centre stage at Horizon Bistronomy, a bistro and restaurant pioneered raising the bar for modern European cuisine in Singapore thanks to talented chefs Chris Fong and Jude Tay. Found on Alexandra Road close to Keppel Club, Labrador Nature Reserve and Hort Park, the Alexandra branch is one of two outlets in Singapore – you’ll find the other sleek location on Punggol Point Road – and is the ideal spot to grab a bite of gourmet bistro cuisine in a relaxed environment when out at the National University of Singapore campus or when travelling out to Sentosa.
Service was very good. Friendly staff around. Food quality were up to standard. Price was very reasonable too! Great place for dinner after office crowd leaves making the place quiet and peaceful :)
Food was truly fantastic... it was a great meal at a very reasonable price. Service was excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to come back again and again.
They have removed the set lunch menu - don't think its good value for money anymore - also the food wasn't that great on the day I went, not sure if I will go back again - we heard the chef screaming from the kitchen, also the air-conditioning was really bad, it was hot and stuffy - I was quite embarrassed to take a party of 11 to the restaurant where everyone ate an expensive meal while sweating...
Whether you’re there for one of their homemade pastries, a premium coffee or some gourmet pan-seared salmon, Horizon Bistronomy on Alexandra Road goes above and beyond to treat diners to a special meal each and every time they visit thanks to an ever-changing menu. Since its establishment in 2014, Horizon has become one of Singapore’s most talked-about local bistros, and it’s their commitment to only using fresh, artisanal ingredients that sets them apart from other French-inspired restaurants in Alexandra.
Despite offering gourmet French cuisine, the Horizon Bistronomy’s setting is a casual and relaxed place to indulge in dishes like mushroom soup topped with freshly shaved truffle, starters like the chilled crab meat angel hair infused with chorizo oil and topped off with salmon, or the tomato salad with red pesto and burrata cheese. As for the main course, you can’t go wrong with the Horizon pork done two ways, a 24-hour slow-braised pork belly and Kurobuta pork tenderloin served with roasted cauliflower puree, vegetables, black pepper sauce and grape mustard. You never quite know what’s in store at French restaurant in Alexandra, but you can always rely on the offerings being of the highest quality. Horizon is one Singapore bistro that you’ll need to experience for yourself to believe, so check in regularly to see what’s new but always reserve ahead of time before venturing out to this Singapore hotspot.
