Dear diners, please be aware that the restaurant is closed on the every second Wednesday each month. Thank you!
Whether you’re vegetarian or not, it’s hard not to fall in love with the cuisine on offer at Greenland Vegetarian Restaurant on Upper Serangoon Road. Using wholesome ingredients and cooking each meal from scratch, Greenland Vegetarian Restaurant’s homestyle veggie dishes not only taste good but are good for you too, so you can indulge in as much as you want, guilt-free – perfect if you are going to go for the buffet option! Chow down on some deep-fried cauliflower and alfalfa sprouts with Thousand Island dressing, some sauteed monkey head mushroom with macadamia nut and mixed veg in a chilli sauce or a bowl of special double-boiled vegetable soup. Singapore's veggies all flock to this Serangoon hotspot so booking a table in advance is recommended!
We ordered the tomyam soup and assam laksa there, broths were tasty, spiciness was just right and smooth to the palate. Service was good too. Prices were relatively pocket friendly given the banquet ambience. I think they could add in more ingredients for the tomyam soup though.
Been there many years ago, this time back there again, the menu though changed slightly but quality of food is still good! The mutton curry rice set is good as past! Vegetables used are fresh! Parking could be headache as the back of the restuarant has limited lots, but worry not, parked opposite the Upper Serangoon Shopping Centre and walk over - very walkable distance.
I was searching for vegetarian restaurant and chance upon quandoo. It is easy to book and the restaurants are able to confirm my booking wihtout missing it out.
Food was good and the service was attentive. Overall, it was an experience my whole family enjoyed, even those that are not normally into vegetables!
This was a 2nd visit and I visited with much anticipation as my first visit was wonderful and I had a wonderful waitress who recommended the right amount and right kinds of food that my parents and I would like. This time, a guy (I understand that he is the manager) came to me and he said since I am alone, I should call the restaurant direct instead of going through Quandoo which he has then to pay a certain fee! It's rather embarrassing to hear this as I felt it's as though I alone will order too little and it's not worth his business. (I alone spent $40+ in the end!) Anyway, I proceeded to ask him about what to order in this vegetarian restaurant and i must say that he is quite rude and not good in recommending. In the end, I ordered a yam basket as I didn't want to order something cheap which he doesn't make money cos I went thro Quandoo! But the yam basket is a real disappointment being plain and unappetising. I proceeded to ask a waitress for recommendation as I was very disappointed with what I ordered. Finally the roasted pig that was recommended was good and it made me want to give the restaurant a second chance. This place is however not wheelchair friendly. There were steps in front as well as behind the restaurant. Service wise, the waitresses are ok but not the manager👎🏻
Food is not bad, but sadly our order for the mock suckling pig which we really wanted to try wasn't taken. Service is also good. Friendly staff. Restaurant is very spacious. However, the price is towards the high end side.
My mother and I had a good time there. We were able to park near the restaurant on a Sunday evening for our 6:15pm dinner. We enjoyed the food very much!
First timer for vegetarian food. Food are very nice especially the hor fan and we did order another portion. Only down side is the parking issue if you drive there.
Fast service and excellent food. My favorite dish was the hor fun. It tasted even better than those cooked using meat and the portion is generous.
Food was very good, and the price was excellent. No service charge, so don't forget to tip! Will be back again this Saturday for another meal!
