About Goulash

Established all the way back in 1994, Goulash are are committed to providing Aberdeen foodies with an authentic taste of Hungary. Starting off in a small cottage shop in the country, Goulash has now blossomed into a stunning restaurant located within a historic building right in the heart of Aberdeen, with traditional decor adding to its charm. Goulash is perhaps the most famous of Hungarian cuisine, and you’ll find a number of variations of this hearty dish on the menu, from pork to beef and veggie-friendly mushroom goulash, as well as other delicious Hungarian specialities. Try some onion cream soup, chicken paprikash (chicken leg on the bone with a paprika sauce and sour cream, served with a traditional Hungarian pasta) or some roast wild boar. We all thoroughly enjoyed the authentic dishes we ordered in the friendly & homely atmosphere. I loved the Goulash soup as a starter & Mushroom stew as a main. My Dad enjoyed his Pork Goulash, which had a "perfect blend of spices & flavours" and went well with the house Hungarian red wine. My brother had to decide between several options that appealed to him, he opted for the Borzaska which was a "superb home-cooked meal". The service was fast & friendly and I easily recommend this restaurant, which I'll happily revisit again.
