Head northward from Singapore’s Downtown Core and, in the slightly less chaotic surroundings of Ang Mo Kio, you may wonder how you stumbled upon just what you were looking for. Although located right on busy Ang Mo Kio Avenue, Good Thyme Bistro has the feel of a friendly local neighbourhood cafe, one where you can sit and let the time pass without noticing it. A tasty modern European eatery serving heart-warming favourites like fish and chips, duck confit and spaghetti marinara, where Good Thyme Bistro really comes into their own is with desserts. Along with other classic desserts like New York cheesecake and Red Velvet, Good Thyme Bistro have perfected molten lava cakes to the point that they do not serve just the traditional chocolate but rather seven variations of it. Seven! Those are seven reasons right there to make the special trip to Ang Mo Kio.
First time to Good Thyme. First enter the restaurant was decent and pleasant, but if the furnishings is lighter colour would be excellent. Food I would rate only 3 as the laksa is a little too spicy. The duck confit is a little dry and tough..the salted caramel lava cake is over baked, no lava flowing out and burnt at the base. have the fish and chip is good though. But I must say the staff there are excellent! Good service and friendly.
Salt egg spaggetti a must try. Chicken chop n duck is nice. Very friendly staff.. recommend for family small group dinner. Coffee aroma and nice.
